Osborne Lights are every night. Candlelight Processional is by reservation unless you want to stand for a long time in the standby line (which is what we did) but be sure to get in line hours ahead of the show you want to see.:thumbsup2 We were about an hour and a half early before the show and we were WAY back in line, but still got in to see the show.

TIA!

They have a dinner package associated with this show if you decide to book that. You can see the show without the dinner package, but you will have to stand in a standby line. They will seat those with the package reservations first, then they will fill the remaining seats with those in the the standby line. As long as you don't wait too long to get into the standby line you should not have a problem seeing the show. We did this last year and it is an awesome show and just make sure you get in the standby line an hour and a half or so before the show to be sure to get in.

You can book a dinner package to see this event. It is not mandatory however, only if you are wanting priority seating. It is a narrated (usually by a celebrity) story the birth of Jesus and a huge choir. Very moving and the choir is awesome:cool1: Last year was our first time seeing this and it REALLY gos along with the Christmas theme and the show is great.:thumbsup2

Oh, so you need a reservation for candlelight processional?

Whoops---sorry folks, my DH already answered your question regarding "reservations!" I should've kept reading, as he really is our WDW Tour guide and I should've known he would've answered you back---sorry about that.

My DH posted to this, and I think what he meant was that folks that do the dinner package get seated first, and the folks that didn't, stand in line, and get seated on a first come/first serve basis until all the seats are taken, so you aren't guaranteed a spot, unless you buy the dinner package. We stood in line about an hr and a half, got a seat, loved the performance, and if memory serves me correctly, there was a LONG line behind us and the theater filled up to the pt that there were people standing up, so if you want to see this, and don't want to buy the dinner package, I'd get there early and be prepared to stake out a spot in line. It's a great performance and worth the wait! I've read posts concerning should I/shouldn't I invest in the dinner package just to see this performance, and you get a lot of folks saying yes and a lot saying it's not necessary----you may want to check out those posts.

We did this about 4 years ago & it was excellent! Does anyone know if this dinner package (which we did last time) can be used with the dining plan or do we still have to pay OOP?? Also, when do they normally release the names of the celebrities for the year?

Candlelight Processional Dinner packages should be on sale sometime in August.

Last year I believe you could use the DDP, but that had changed from the year before. I haven't heard anything for this year yet. We saw Marlee Matlin w/interpreter in 2005 and Edward james Olmos in 2006. Both were phenominal. Marlee signed the whole story and Olmos read in English and Spanish.

It's Christmas music with a narrator reading the Christmas story. We're trying to get Christmas Eve this year.

I happen to be lucky enough to live in Little Rock, AR (hometown of The Osbornes). They used to decorate their home(s) quite nicely and tons of people would flood their neighborhood each holiday season. Unfortunately some of their unneighborly neighbors had an issue with "the uncleansed masses" entering their upscale neighborhood and had a local court determine what The Osbornes could do as far as decorating. I miss the lights, as they were always a welcome sight to me and my family. It's good to see someone who has alot give something back to the community.

POP in September (9/3 - 9/8)
