DD will have just turned two on our next trip. She still naps daily. We will likely have to take her back to the resort because she does not nap in the stroller (we tried that last trip a few months ago and she would sleep 20 minutes, wake up, and then have a breakdown by dinner time. ) Is having a lunch and a dinner ADR too much? Will we spend our whole trip eating, riding buses, and sleeping? Our schedule would be:

Rope Drop
Play
Lunch ADR (around 11:30 daily)
Back to the resort to nap
Dinner ADR (5:30-7:00)
Hopefully Wishes/Illuminations
Back to the resort for bed time

Are we better off eating QS for lunch to save time? There are just too many TS places where we'd like to eat! We originally had 1 ADR/day but now friends may be meeting us there from Thurs-Sun and they prefer to just eat what they want when they want over ADR's (they live in FL and go to Disney about 1x a month for a few days) So now we're trying to fit everything in from Sunday-Wednesday before they arrive and I'm not sure if it's too much.

Any insight is much appreciated!!

My general rule of thumb is to allow about 60-75 minutes for an in-park TS meal. For the bus system, they say to allow about 45-minutes per leg of the journey. Plus allow some time to get through security and to the dining venue or conversely, to get from the dining venue back to the bus stops.

I think it's doable to have both a lunch ADR and a dinner ADR, but it depends on long your DD's naps are and if you're going to try and do anything between lunch and dinner beside the nap.

If you decide to only go with one ADR, I would pick the one that your DD is the most likely to make it through. This is especially true if you're picking places with a credit card guarantee.

We visited when DS was 2.5 and had similar conundrum.
We booked at BLT just so we could go back to room and nap on our MK visit days. DS napped in room on only 1 of 3 day!. On 2nd day, we were at AK and managed to have him fall asleep in stroller, albeit late in day. It was just too far to head back to room. On 3rd day, he fell asleep in stroller as we were walking back to BLT to nap. Instead of going all the way back, we turned around and went back into MK so that DH and I could take turns doing a few rides (I think we each got two rides in).
So even with the ability to nap in stroller 2 x, we did only breakfast ADRs and dinner ADRs. Decided to skip lunch ADRs because it was just took too long; we found it much easier to be flexible to eat from QS counters. Since DS is up at 6a most days, it wasn't difficult to do pre-park opening breakfasts.

It takes a while to get around all of WDW, so if you plan on any naps during day, you might not want to have any lunch ADRs pinning you down. Just increased flexibility to do more/fewer rides and leave when you see DD starting to slow down and getting ready to nap.

Have a great trip!
