Are big retirement gifts from employers a thing?

I'm retiring in late November and I know my co-workers have something planned, but I'm not sure what yet. I'm guessing lunch in a private room at a restaurant,

My company gives out retirement gifts based on length of service. I've been employed there for 35 years so it will probably be something nice. But I really don't care if I receive nothing but a thank you.

When VPs retire, there's usually a nice dinner. For everyone else, it's a store-bought cake and card.
