I'm planning celebrating someone's birthday at Typhoon Lagoon soon and have gotten a bit fixated on the idea of these Beachcomber Shacks.

Any opinions on whether or not they're worth it? It would be three people, February 20th, so Presidents Day weekend.

Also, can anyone confirm they do still have attendants and all the perks normally listed (free drinks, water, etc.)? I know it's on their website, but they also advertise delivering Floral and Gifts to your hotel room and they don't actually do that.

Value, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.

Try the experience yourself so that you can subsequently say,:

a.) "Let's splurge and do something like that again the next time we vacation.", or,
b.) "I'm glad we tried it, but one-and-done."

If something like this interests you, and the price seems affordable, try it.

I say this as someone who tries the add-ons; we've liked some more than others, but have never felt ripped-off.

And no matter how much prep work I've done, there always seems to be both unexpected-upsides & -downsides to most every add-on experience.

Try it....you know you want to.......

The only issue I have ever had with the cabanas are the bees. No matter how hard we try to keep everything covered there's always a ton around. I always go during the summer months(July-August) so you may not have the same issue in February. Even with the bee issue I think there 100% worth it.

This is true, I do want to. Guess I will.

Now to brave the phone line...

Noted; thanks for the heads up!

They were worth it for us in June 2018 when we were a family of 4 plus 2 adult friends going. Don’t know the current perks but I do remember juggling 6 refillable mugs. The best part about it though was staying dry during a sudden downpour (yeah, I know, ironic to want to stay dry at a water park.) But they did have to get everyone out of the pools during that time for safety reasons, so it was nice having a covered home base while waiting out the down time (and stuffing our faces with snacks lol.) Don’t know how the weather will be during your trip but keep in mind it can change quickly in Florida.

Which cabanas are better? BB or TL? We're going in the summer so they both should be open. It's been several years since our last visit to the water parks, and we have never rented the cabanas at the water WDW water parks.

Hands down typhoon lagoon cabanas are way better. Typhoon lagoon your Cabana has an actual roof the ones at blizzard beach are just an umbrella. There’s been a number of times we were at typhoon lagoon where it started raining even lightning and your allowed to stay in your cabana and we barely got wet. We waited out the storm and had the park basically to our selves for maybe an hour before people started coming back. With blizzard beach having just and umbrella not sure you get the same protection or if your even allowed to stay in them during a storm.

Blizzard Beach is currently closed, and I don't think they will be open over the summer based on things I've read regarding permits and such for work that needs to be done. So it is only TL for a while. We are planning on getting a shack at TL for our water park day in July. We are all extremely fair skinned so knowing we have premium shade all day will be 100% worth it for us.

Does anyone know- when calling to schedule a beachcomber shack at the 60 day mark, are they available at midnight like the other add-on experiences? Or is it same time as dining? TIA!

I'm sure the Beachcomber Shacks are wonderful, but for that money we could have a really nice dinner -- and I'll choose the dinner every time.
Having said that, we have been literally unable to find chairs (together) for our whole family at Typhoon Lagoon. If you have a big group and are traveling in high season, reserved seating has its appeal.

Someone asked, "How much?" I just googled, and I assume this is a correct answer: $225/day. That's not pocket change. It's appealing, but I can find other Disney splurges that appeal to me more.

We have a Premium Plus Beachcomber Shack in July. It's $479.

60 days from check-in date. I've found if I call between 3:30 and 4 the hold time isn't that long.
Thank you! I was planning on calling right at 7 when they open. ADRs at 6, call for the shack at 7. Fingers crossed.

Did they have more than the premium plus available? Sorry to bug you lol. I'm not sure of the differences. We haven't ever gotten a shack at TL, but have gotten a polar patio at BB a couple of times. It has been a while, but I don't remember them having different levels.

The one thing I will say about getting a cabana at the waterpark - We did so for the first time in 2013 at TL, and now we are totally spoiled. Can't go to a waterpark without getting one now. They have really nice ones at Dollywood's Splash World.

I was able to snag a premium plus one for July 17th this morning no problem.

awesome! Did they only have the premium plus, or were they less expensive options as well? If that is all they have, we will go with it, just wondering what my choices might be. I can't wait to call Tuesday.
