Are APs a Better Deal?

We have decided that we will try to make it to WDW twice a year, possibly more often if money and time allow. Would it make sense to purchase APs or just search for the best deals on Hopper Passes? I haven't done any research into the Annual Passes yet.... Are there added benefits to having APs? Where can I get them? Are APs cheaper for children 3-9? Any information and advice on APs that you can provide would be great! Thank you!

I loved having APs but we visited more than we had planned because we already had passes so why not take that last minute trip. They work great if you plan on visiting every year.
