I just went on Disney's site and it's up again and working fine...

I just tried to view My "Disney Vacation" and it gave me the apology (system is down--try back later) statement.

I called Disney less than an hour ago to make some changes to my ressie and everything was working fine there, don't know about the website, though.

How odd that so much was affected yesterday!

I work for a huge corporation with plants all over the world. I work in the IT department. Disney most likely had a virus to affect so many things. When a virus is detected it can wreak havoc among many systems. A virus patch needs to be applied and things are shut down and rebooted as this is done. The IT folks at Disney are doing everything they can to fix things. My company had a particularly nasty virus about 2 months ago and we were working 18-20 days to fix everything. IT is 24-7 and everything is done to assure that folks can access their mail or work at all times. Please be patient.....everything will be back soon.

I just read on a different thread that power was out. That is a whole different animal. There are backup systems but once they go out you are out of luck. That is when you are at the mercy of the electric company. I live in St. Louis and we had 2 major storms last month 2 days apart. My companies power stayed on for the first storm. After the 2nd one we were gone too. 700,000 people were out of power. Including huge corporations. And they all had backups. So again be patient.

Was able to call and make ressies and the website is working for some things but not the "My Vacation" section to check your vacation or work on your itinerary
