Just wondering, are all studios at OKW on the first floor or are there some on upper floors?

Travelling solo and upper floor would feel a little safer!

Depending on the building, they are on all three floors.

We're staying here for the first time in April, in a studio. For those that have been in their studios, do you recommend any particular floor and is it a huge hike to the third floor after a long day at the parks? Should I request a first floor?

I personally don't really care which floor, but if given a choice, I like the second floor. You get a little bit better view than a first floor unit, yet not too many stairs to haul stuff your luggage up and down.

I think there are only 4 buildings with 3rd floor studios. I would go with 2nd floor. Most of them are on the ends of the buildings and there is no 3rd floor on the ends, so no one would be above you.

Regarding hauling luggage up three flights bell services are happy to carry all your suitcases and groceries to your villa. You just have to get yourself up the three flights!

Buildings 14,18,35,38 and 64 all have studios on the third floor. All other buildings have studios on the first and second floor. Studios are found on the far ends of each building.

Here is a <a href="http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=1251562#post1251562">building configuration for OKW.</a>

If you aren't used to climbing stairs, the third floor may be a little tiring after a long day. As already noted, the Bell Staff is available to assist with luggage.

Building 64 does have an elevator (along with 62 and 63).

Enjoy!

I think the 1st floor villas tend to be a bit overgrown with the vegetation on the deck. Only an issue if you tend to spend time on the deck.

A third floor walk-up becomes a drag after a week. Even with your luggage being taken up at the beginning.

We were in a studio in Bldg 35 once and there was no window in it. The only outside light came from the door to the deck. And that was the 3rd floor studio mentioned above and there was hardly any light coming in the deck door because of the tall trees. For this reason, if I ever get another studio at OKW - I will always request NOT to be in the "U" shaped buildings.

And it was not at the end of the building - it was in the "U" bend - where the line(s) down meet the base of the "U". Guess that is the back corner if you are looking at the buildings.

Thanks for the info, I know what to ask for when I call MS!

Hi there,

We have stayed at OKW for 10 plus periods in studios and the best of the bunch was 2020, second floor with awesome view of golf course water and HH. The room is near the Millers Road bus stop and just round the corner from a great little pool area.

Try it you won't be disapointed.
