are all new canon lenses ef or efs mounts?

i keep meaning to ask this and forgetting

but i am wondering if any new canon lens will fit on my rebel xt (then later be transferable to what ever other canon i get...i have been steering clear of efs due to that.) and any old canon except fd? what about 3rd party? anyway to tell if it doesn't specifically say ( thinking if i buy used) ie sometimes i see( rarely and never when i have the$$$ in my pocket) 200mm f2.8 L( which i really want) but it doesn't say anything but " canon mount" and i don't know how long the lens has been out so how could i know if it would work

i think i answered my own question..since all they sell on canon usa are ef or efs, i think all canon new lenses are ef or efs
so i am guessing any 3rd party canon mounts would also be ef unless they said otherwise or were really old.

all L lenses are EF only. there are no pro bodies that support EFs
any new lens will fit on your XT body
