Are ADR's PS's?

I kinda skip around here, and I see lots of posts about ADR's. Are they the same as PS's? Has WDW changed their policy on "actual" reservations? Or has the name just changed here?

I gotta keep up ;) ! ;)
 
Pretty much just a name change.

They work the same was as PS did, people just didn't understand what PS meant.
 
Yes and no...
ADR= Advance Dining Reservation, PS= Priority Seating.

They have changed the terminology from PS and started doing ADR which is essentially an actual reservation. But it still carries the same definition as the PS did, you will be seated at the next avalaible table for your party size...
 
Even though ADR stands for "Advanced Dining Reservations" it still isn't a true reservation in the sense that a table is not being held for you at the time of your ADR. An ADR works just like a PS always did - you will be seated at the next available table for your party size after you have checked in. No difference, they just changed the name. :)
