Are ADR's now easier to get with the new dining plan??

A couple weeks ago we booked a last minute trip (well... at least last minute for us anyway) for late March/early April. We usually book about a year out and I call at the 180 mark to get our ADR's.

Since this trip was only booked 100 days out - I thought I would have trouble getting the ADR's I wanted. To my surprise I got all the restaurants at the time I wanted. :confused3 I even got Le Cellier and Coral Reef for dinner. I thought I would have to adjust my times - eat early or late, etc... but I had no issues.

The only thought I came up with is that less people are on the new dinning plan in 2008 - so less ADR's are being booked. Has anyone else been able to book the more popular restaurants way after the 180 mark? We aren't at WDW the most busy week of the year - but it's still spring break time.

We also had no trouble making ADR's today for the 1st week of March. I know that isn't a busy time but we always go this time of year and I've never been this lucky with my ADR's. We are eating within 15 minutes of my requested time for every meal but one (LeCellier on Saturday night).

This is good news to hear.

Years past we always made our decision in the morning as to where we would like to have our dinner, never a problem. Along came The Dining Plan, almost impossible to get into restauraunts without ADR's made from home 6 months-out. I don't know about others but our plans change daily.

We will be doing an adult trip in the February without any ADR's, hoping for the best. Will also be taking a family trip in September with GC. I will probably make a few ADR's on this trip. but still would like to wing-it. We like to sit down as a family in the morning and make our days plans, not have our vacation set in stone.

Two days ago, I had my pick of times for a Chef M's dinner less than two months in advance. Granted, this isn't a busy week, but we go this week every year, and last year, Chef M's was tight as a drum by now.

I'm glad to hear others are having good luck in getting ADR's. I hope this is a trend that continues! :goodvibes

I had my pick of times this morning for Crystal Palace on Feb 22, which is the tail end of Presidents Week. It was wide open for b:thumbsup2 reakfast.

I had no problems either, we booked about 80 days in adance very last min for use as well, we are going about the 2/3 week of March so that is a crazy busy time Spring Break, ect. We got all the ADR that i wanted except for Le Cellier's for dinner i had to take a late lunch spot, but i'm still trying and hoping to get in there!!! LOL it's a Saturday too so that might be why as well. All others i got no problems at all!

We just booked a "last minute" April trip (i'm usually calling at the 180 day mark for ADR's), and I got everything we wanted, even lunch at CRT! :yay: :yay:
