Are ADR necessary?

My family and I will be going to DW Nov 17 - 23, and I have already made my reservations including DDP. I have made 3 or 4 ADR, but I still have 2 or 3 TS meals unplanned. I would like to be able to be spontaneous and not have ADR for every TS meal. Is that an unreasonable hope during that time of year? Is it likely that I'll be left not being able to find anywhere to eat?

Go ahead and make ADR's. You can still be spontaneous. If you feel like going someplace else, just call and change your ADR's. If you call and can't change, then you have your original ADR to fall back on.

Making ADR's costs you nothing more than a few minutes on the phone. Not having one can be a giant pain if it turns out you do need them.

We are going at the same time and have made all of our ADR's. We plan our TS credits for either breakfast or late dinner so that most of the day is free. We also have left 2 days free of ADR's so we can do what we want. You don't want to get stuck and have to settle. Try calling asap because many of the times and days are full for the populr restaurants.
That being said it is good to not plan for every TS credit so that you can use one or two on a whim.

That's Thanksgiving week. I would assume the parks are going to be full.

You better make those last few ADR's quick or you will be leaving Disney looking at the unused credits or using those TS for CS to not lose them.

To be on the safe side, I would make them. You can always cancel them if you need to, but better to have something than nothing. Good luck!:thumbsup2
