I am checking availabilty and there are several rooms available on the 5th deck forward in front of the elevators. It looks like there is a deck area in front of these cabins. Is the 5th floor in general noisy because of all of the activity? We have a 10 year old so we will be utilizing the camp on that deck anyway. What do you think? Is there actually a deck that is available to passengers in front of the cabins on deck 5?

We have stayed in 5013 and 5522 and never had any excess noise. We love that location! :D

We stayed in 5022 and loved it, it was not loud at all and close to everything, I would love that location again, right now we have a CAT 11 Guaranteed.....

Deck 5 is GREAT because it is not full of cabins! Stayed there last cruise and are getting the same cabin next Sept.!:sunny:

I am booked into room 5000, which is a cat 8, and I have heard that it is a fabulous location with no noise...can't wait - 49 days left!

We LOVE deck 5. Although we usually stay aft, we have been in the secret porthole rooms several times. There really isn't any excess noise. We noticed hallway traffic since those staterooms are at the head of the hall and it's a dead end, but no sound from being near the elevators and nothing much from overhead. You won't be able to access that front area because it's a crew area.

Ok, we are guaranteed a cat 11, and are currently assigned 5001. I thought this was great because we will have 2 kids in the Lab. My other thought was that with 4 ladies sharing a room, without a split bath, it would be good to be near public bathrooms. Does anyone know if 'anyone' can use the bathrooms on this floor, or are they only accessable thru the different kids area? I know there is the theater there, but I just wanted to check if anyone else has used this 'feature'?

Thanks for all the help from the Disboards!!! 5 weeks from today we will be getting tucked in at our hotel in Orlando and realizing that there is only one more night until our first cruise!!!

A friend of mine recently stayed in 5002 I think. He reported early morning and late night noise from the Disney Theater. He said it sounded like the crew was rehearsing a show as it was the same music over and over again with booming bass noises. It was bad enough to keep his 3 year old awake.

He called guest services and complained. He asked guest services when the rehersals typically stopped and was told "when someone calls to complain."

We think it may have been Golden Mickey rehersals which are possibly over by now.

We stayed in 5516 last December and will be in SPR 5520 this December. The location is great; we also never heard any noise from the theater. :D
