Very sad. As a VWL DVC member he will always be a hero in my mind. I can still clearly remember the first time I walked into the Wilderness Lodge lobby. I was stunned by the beauty. Literally breathless. When I brought my parents in 2004 they were amazed as well and asked "How can you afford this place?" Again last year one of my high school buddies who now lives in Florida met us at WL for a day together and he was also stunned. The one comfort is that his designs will continue to wow people for decades.

Yea, and he stole most of the design from the existing lodges at Yellowstone NP and Yosemitie NP.
