Arcade at AKL?

Planning a trip with a 14 year old who is concerned about the "quality" of the arcade at AKL. He seems to think it won't be as cool as the one at Pop.Is the AKL arcade as good as others at the various resorts? Thanks for any advice!

I can't compare it to any others, but it was large and seemed to have a good crowd and a large selection of games. It was down near the pool and Mara, and in the evenings I always saw a group of kids inside.

I haven't stayed at any of the value resorts, so I have no basis for comparison, but I felt the arcade at AKL was kind of small. They had your standards- air hockey, racing games, kid sized basketball (which is really hard for an adult to play, I learned), claw machines (oooh the claw), and various standard arcade games.

Funny! I thought it seemed large, you thought it seemed small. I try to avoid them, so to me it looked cavernous!!

Was just there in December. I wasn't real impressed with it. My son and I only spent a buck and left. I liked the one at the Beach Club when we stayed there over the summer. I also like Coronado's. Was only at POP for a weekend last February, and I don't remember much about it.

We have only seen the Contemporary and AKL and GF arcades. AKL and GF very inferior to the Contemporary!!! The Contemporary's Food and Fun Center Arcade is much larger in size and has many more games. They also have those games that spit out tickets that you can cash in for prizes. AKL and GF do not have this.
Would definitely recommend the Contemporary arcade over the AKL arcade.
Our kids (10 and 8) can stay for an hour or two in the Contemporary arcade but we left in 5 minutes from AKL-there wasn't another living soul in there.

My 14 year old wasn't impressed. Of course, he enjoyed DisneyQuest!
