Hmmm, well, Arafat has caused the deaths of thousands of innocent people. I can't say that I won't be happy he's gone and won't be able to cause anymore death.

Apparently his "cabinet" was meeting as soon as they got word of his comatose state to decide what would happen after his death and how he would be "buried". Apparently there is some things that may prevent him from being buried somewhere (but I can't remember where they said).

Arafat wants to be somewhere that is a disputed holy site for both sides. Maybe temple mount. I just read it is news week...ok I found it... ( Arafat wants to be buried on Haram-a Sharif the contested compound in jerusalems old city.it houses 2 mosques and is Islam's 3rd holiest shrine. also known to the jews as Temple Mount. According to the Israeli officials there is no chance this last wish will be granted.

Instead Israel has designated a site in Abu Dis. near Jerusalem BEYOND the wall that is being erected.

I have to say You all are much kinder than me. Although I do hope he is no more, I agree this is not good news in general the power struggles in the next few weeks are sure to make for a very dangerous situation.
