my daughter lives in tampa, we are coming down for two weeks in oct. can she book us under the fla resident rate if she is staying with us for a part of the time

She would have to be there at check-in, as proof of Florida residency is required at check-in to receive the discounted rate. And it has to be in her name, I believe.

She will have to make the reservation in her name and be there when you check in. She does not have to stay for the duration of your trip. We did this with my husbands cousins last year. They stayed 2 days longer than us and had no problem.
