Hi all! We have plans to check out Aquatica this year. Can anyone tell me what kind of crowds/lines we can expect in comparison to BB/TL? I'd expect Omaka Rocka & Dolphin Plunge to have the longest lines, but are they as long as, say Summit Plummit on a typical day?

I am travelling in August with teens (17, 13, 12) and was wondering about Acquatica. I would be happy to hear any one's opinion on it.

We love it but it's not a thrill seekers water park. It's perfect for young children (infant to 12). The lines were definitely longer at both BB and TL.

We went the last week in April both times and there were very few lines. The Dolphin Plunge was the only real line so we waited until 20 minutes before closing and the kids rode it with no wait time. We did this on both trips!

We went in Sept 08 and found it to be very child orientated, very busy with kids in the pools and playgrounds but the queues for the rest were much shorter than TL and BB.

We went to Aquatica. It was a great place, very colorful. The biggest surprise, how nice and warm the water was.

We've been to all three and enjoyed each of them. The Disney water parks have a better selection of adult beverages, so they have the advantage. :)

loved Roa's Rapids the best! Yes! A three year old was floating down the rapids river with her vest on and loved it! We went in April during spring break and the lines were very manageable. I do agree that there probably aren't a ton of thrill rides there and it is geared toward kids (and me since I HATE rides and loved that I had to escort my three year old on the kiddy water slides.) IT is awesome and I bought a deal online at www.seaworld.com that had was for both seaworld and aquatica and you could go to both parks as many times as you wanted for 14 days and it was around $100/person for both parks. Enjoy!

We loved Roa's Rapid too! We are 2 active adults 70 and 47 and I'll tell ya.. we belly laughed the Whole time! It's a blast! We did it 4 times through out our day. We were there in January and we hit it on a warm day, mid 70s so the lines were not very long at all. We did the team raft ride, be prepared to walk up lots of steps and then choose a ride. They did not have the "all day buffet" option the day we were there, it's only open on busier days (I found out after we got there). Food selections were not that great. We ate chicken tenders... and a salad. it seemed that the service was lacking too. It's a neat park, Not a large as Disney water parks, but nothing compares to the rapids. It's a work out and it's fun too. They lazy river thing is not long, and you get REALLY wet... but yeah it's a water park. We ended up buying annual passes, it's a nice compliment to our others....:hippie:

I was just there this Friday, the thermometer on the wavepool read 98-100 degrees most of the day as well as it being mostly sunny meant it was a primo waterpark day. Most of the waits were in the 15-30 minute range, all quite tolerable compared to Summit Plummet at BB which can get near an hour or more.I don't exactly agree with the other comments that it's not a thrill seeker waterpark I mean except for Summit Plummet at BB all their other slides are comparable in thrill level to the ones at Aquatica which also has much better kids areas some of which are fun even for adults.BB has been my favorite waterpark in Orlando for years now but I think Aquatica may have taken over as my favorite.I think I prefer the layout of the park compared to BB which has all the slides on the mountain so you continuously have to go up the stairs or wait in line for the chair lift. Also I think I prefer the choices of dining and shopping throughout Aquatica compared to the Disney parks.BB has a better traditional lazy river but Aquatica has Roa's rapids a faster more exciting lazy river and one of my favorites at the park. The only downsides to Aquatica is that it's a bit smaller than the Disney parks and has less shade, you can spend an entire sunny day at Typhoon lagoon and not get sunburned, not so at Aquatica.Aquatica overall did surpass my expectations of the park and like I said it might actually be my new favorite.
