I've been browsing the Aquatica "rides" section and there appears to be very little ride wise for her to do (currently 42" and not expecting a major growth spurt anytime soon). Wondering if we should blow off Aquatica entirely (we'll have the Flex tickets so Wet N Wild will be an option). Or is there something I'm missing about the place??

Well, in my opinion Aquatica has one of the nicest (if not the nicest) kids areas of all the Orlando waterparks. Also Roas Rapids (a fast lazy river) is great and I would think there is no age limit there (though you would have to check on that).

I really liked Blizzard Beach and felt like my little kids can do a lot there. I was worried about going to Aquatica for the same reason. Then I thought it through and figured there is enough there for them to get their money's worth. We have the 14 day passes to Sea World and Aquatica.

We are doing Aquatica in October and I have 2 kids that are 42 (6 yr old twins) and the other 2 are smaller. We will do the Kookabura area, Walk about Waters, Roa Rapids and I will take just the twins on HooRoo Run. There are a few more I think they could do at 42" but they don't like slides that have dark tunnels.

Agreed :thumbsup2 (though I think the new sandcastle area at Wet 'N Wild might beat it in size now).

Here are some pics, to give you an idea:

This is the wee kids area:

There are dual wave pools and a HUGE sand beach, great for making sand castles between the rounds of waves:

The traditional lazy river (with tubes) is very relaxing, and takes you past a huge aquarium full of tropical fish:

You can visit the Commerson dolphins (in addition to the large viewing area, the trainers are there several times a day to do demonstrations and answer guest questions:

And like a PP said, Roa's Rapids are the best water feature EVER. Seriously fun. And good for babies right up to seniors. Its a tubeless lazy river with a current that keeps you moving (even my 285 pound DH!). Strap on a lifejacket and go :thumbsup2 (yep, even adults....its more fun that way ::yes::). We literally spent HOURS there on each of our visits....its that fun.

There is also a family raft ride at the park which I think the OP's DD might still be able to ride at 42".

I think Aquatica is a great park, and offers lots for every age and ever stage (even ride weenies like me ;) ). I would definitely not give it a pass.

We love Aquatica! I would not skip it. First time we went my ds was 5 and about 42 inches and he has a blast at the big play area ( pictured above) and the fast lazy river, I believe it's called Roa Rapids. There were still a couple big slides he was able to ride. We will visit Aquatica every time we go to Florida.

Aquatica is totally worth doing! ::yes:: We got our AP 2 yrs ago and our DS was 4, sure not much she could do but she loved Roa's Rapids, put a life vest on her and away she went, she got mad if we touched her, or if one of use passed her. It is a very fast moving lazy river. She loves the kids area and also the slower lazy river, but we just couldn't keep her out of Roa's. She is 6 this yr. and just about 42 inches, which is the right height for more rides for her to go on. If you are thinking about Aquatica, go for it, you will be glad you did.

109 days till our trip to the Fort.

DD6 loved Aquatica - took her there on her birthday last week. Two good play areas, lazy river, roaring river, racers, wave pool. She liked it better then Atlanta's White Water.
