Hi everyone,

We are leaving in a couple of weeks and I wanted opinions of you who have been to both water parks. We have a 14yo son who is a thrill seeker. Which water park would he enjoy the most? Not sure if Aquatica has enough "thrill" water slides for his taste. The only water park we have been to in Orlando is Typhoon Lagoon, which he enjoyed very much.

Thanks,

Blizzard Beach! Has the tallest slides in Orlando. The mountain is something like 120 ft. high. You don't have to walk up the stairs unless you want to because of the ski lift. Its wave pool is not the 6 foot wave that you get at Typhoon Lagoon which your son probably loved. But TL has kind of wimpy slides except for CrushNGusher compared to BB. Aquatica is sort of wimpy slides, too. It does have a great river though that is faster than most lazy rivers in water parks.

Blizzard. He'd probably find Aquatica very tame. It's tame even compared to some of the slides at TL. Aquatica offers a lot of water and fun things to do, but nothing very scary.

Another thought would be Wet 'n Wild, they have a ton of slides. But Blizzard offers a ski lift to get to the top of the slides. Nothing like climbing 12 flights of stairs for 30 seconds of sliding down.

I haven't been yet, but Aquatica seems like a very small park based on their maps online. I'd go with Blizzard Beach.
