Well I just heard the news that Aquatica opens this coming March 1st and from the artist renderings this looks like it is going to be a must do.

We are heading to Orlando the second week of March so it looks like we will be able to visit Aquatica shortly after it opens.

Can't wait!!

Gary

it opens March 1 for soft opening. I don't think it officially opens until April 15.

The park soft opens March 1st. It will be open soft for a month and then the grand opening is April 4th.

Friends and Family preview is Feb 23rd
(it better be warm that day)

we'll take pics

It's open. If something needs adjusting or repairing etc they can close it at any time to make changes. Having people use the park gives them an idea pre-opening of any potential problems that can be addressed before the grand opening. Users during soft opening have to be prepared for breakdowns, repairs, adjustments and human guinea pigs of the park. Kind of like using a beta version of software!

I have my invitation. It is very cute.

We have already ordered our Seaworld / Aquatica tickets for the end of May!!!

I'm wondering if there will be anything targeted for the preschool crowd at Aquatica?

I can't seem to link to the photo, but check out the gallery of models on the park's website. One photo shows a play area with this caption..."The littlest toddlers also have their own unique area where even those not old enough to walk can still slide down tubes." The photo shows a large shallow lagoon with an island in the center and some play structures in the water. Surrounding the lagoon is beach area with lounge chairs and several (seven I think) gently sloping slides which land in the lagoon.

Thanks! I checked the gallery but must have missed that photo. I'm going to go back and see if I can find it.

:thumbsup2

Is there any way for an "average joe" to get in on the 23rd or 24th? We'll be in Orlando during that time and... well, if we can get in, we want to:thumbsup2

CDNMouse, definitely a must do! I will be there on March 8th!
