Heading to Orlando in a few weeks and considering what day to go to Aquatica. Right now it looks like our best option is either a Saturday or a Sunday but I am worried about local crowds. I have heard that it can get busy with locals on the weekend but I don't know if this is really much of an issue in April.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Check the prices of a cabana rental. If there is a difference in price for the Saturday or Sunday, then the higher-priced cabana day is projected to have a higher attendance.

Did you see that Aquatica is introducing Quick Queue (front of the line) for weekends this spring? It might be something you want to consider if crowds are a concern. It's not too badly priced....$15 pp....and gets you front-of-the-line one time each on six different slides within the park.

That is great advice - thanks! Just had a look and the cabana prices for the weekend are no different than the weekdays before and after so that's a good sign, I guess! We always rent a cabana anyway so loungers would not be an issue but the Quick Queue might be an option for my daughter and husband - I will be lounging in the cabana! ;)
