Would it be a bad idea to do Aquatica on the 4th as opposed to the day before or the day after? In general, what are the lines and wait times like around the 4th?

That weekend is going to be mobbed and I would not be surprised if the park closed shortly after opening due to crowds. If you aren't there early, you probably will not get in.

Yes...the whole holiday weekend which includes Monday will be packed. If you waited until 7/5 it might not be too bad.
