Going to Aquatica next July on a Monday. What should I expect from the crowds? How long have you waited in lines? Are there rides I should hit first before the crowds really hit?? Any other details you can help with would be great....never been!!

Went this year in late July on a Friday, lines weren't too bad some slides we got on in 5-10 minutes and others like the Dolphin Plunge were 30-40 minutes.Omacka Rocka is a fun slide with not too bad a wait same goes for the Taumata Racers, the wave pool is great and Roa's Rapids is the fast lazy river that most people just put on a life vest and just float at a fast pace. This was probably our favorite in the park, there are two entry points and the attraction covers a good area of the park. There's also a regular lazy river but it's much smaller than most other parks, this however is the most unorganized thing in the park,to get to ride Tassies Twisters you have to get one of the yellow tubes designed for the ride at the entrance to the regular lazy river which is in one line, there's another line that's for the blue tubes just to go in the lazy river, the problem is that it's not an organized line, there just there with little to no supervision people skip ahead of you,get in the wrong line etc..It's a great park especially on the day we went since it was near 100 degrees, the wave pool had a thermometer that read 100-103 all day. They also have some cool areas for kids like the Walkabout waters area which is even fun for adults.I would do the Dolphin slide early if you get there early or later in the day when the crowds diminish.

Thanks DOOM1001. That is what I was hoping for...the lines don't sound bad at all. I can handle a 30 minute wait but this summer I went to a water park in Indiana and waited 90 minutes for a ride. It was 105 degrees outside, I was soaking wet and HOT. Never again.

Go in the afternoon. The park is usually open till 10pm during the summer, and crowds die out by dinner time. Less chance of getting burnt to a crisp and usually no lines. Last year I created a topic about going to Aquatica 2-3 times a week, sometimes more. Always hit the park about 3pm or later and had a great time. And don't worry, it's always warm at night time, and the pools are heated. So you won't really notice once the sun goes down.
