Aquarium of the Pacific looks fun!

The Aquarium of the Pacific looks fun. I think that would be the perfect thing for my sister and her little girls to go to while my other sister takes her boys to Legoland. Who's been here? Is it as good as it looks?

It's really nice! I love going there. It's right on the water and there's lots of places to eat nearby. The aquarium itself is not that large but it's a very relaxing/fun place to visit. I love the outdoor touchpool and shark tank.

The water is in walking distance, yes. However it's not a beach, it's actually a port so there isn't anywhere to swim or relax in the sand unfortunately. There is a lovely lighthouse and park area next to the aquarium though.
