Aqua Cool?

I found bandanas at Walmart this weekend that are called Aqua Cool. They are supposed to have crystals in them that stay cool when they get wet. Anybody try them? We thought we would give it a try in August. They are $3.27 apiece.

I have heard of these and wondered where to find them! What section of the store were they in? We're going in August too and expecting to be mighty hot!

Yes, they work pretty well, they will dampen your clothes but that usually feels pretty good in the heat anyway. I've gotten them at craft shows and I just purchased some along with a mister at QVC. I figure we will still need them the last week of September too.

I just went thru wal-mart 2 days ago looking for misters. found all the ones talked about on the DIS right where everyone said theyd be - over by the fans. I even went to sporting goods looking for the big misty mate misters (didn't find them), but I didn't see any bandanas, either. Where exactly in sporting goods were they? On an end capr or down an aisle? How are they packaged?

They are either in an End area or with the weightlifting stuff.

They are just on a thin peice of cardboard hanging (maybe 1 inch by 6 inches ) with it folded up .

When you wet them they swell up to about a 1 inch round dia.You can even put them in the fridge (not Freezer) for the next day.

They do work great We used them While playing Paintball in 100 degree temps. 1 as a headband and 1 as a neck wrap .

When they get warm just dip them back in some cool water and they will refresh themselves.

Just don't smoosh them or the gel will come out of the seams.

You might want to check Ebay, too. That is where I bought mine.

We took them with us in June for our trip, but unfortunately, forgot about them until the trip was almost over. We used them the last couple of days and they made a huge difference in keeping us comfortable, even more so than the misting fans.

I will tell you that they take forever to dry out and return to "normal." We got back from WDW on June 25 and they are still hanging in the laundry room drying.

I saw these at Walgreens last night.

The Misty Mates? I did, too, but they don't have the cool looking, insulated carrying case over them or a decent carrying strap. I'm not sure that's the best kind to carry around Disney-at least for me, anyway. I'm gonna keep my eyes open for the nice ones. I'm hoping I can find them cheaper than on Misty Mates site.

I don't know where the Misty Mates are, but the Aqua Cools were near, let me think...I got them last year...I think they were in with the sweat bands and stuff. I think there was also soccer stuff around...maybe like shin pads and stuff like that.

They aren't very big, maybe four inches wide by about six inches long. They are on cardboard, wrapped, longways, around the cardboard, and they're hanging up.

We used wet bandanas to keep us cool on a Girl Scout camping trip. They worked great, but the Aqua Cools will probably work better and not need to be "re-charged" as often.

We bought 4 Aqua Cools (2 blue and 2 red) with 2 Misty Mates at QVC. We are taking them with us to WDW for our August trip. I plan to just carry the Misty Mates in our backpacks. They're not too big - maybe 8 inches tall - but that mist feels great!

I'll have to remember to bring a big ziploc bag to carry the Aqua Cools home since they take so long to dry out!

Just went to Wal-mart and looked while there. They had them in the sproting good section. At mine they were by the sprots wear (cups to be exact)
