AP's to get 20 FP+ per quarter

Yes, let there not be a social stigma for expecting other people to use the search function for you.. cuz that's what this forum needs more of..

So what do you suggest as search criteria?

"Faspass+ AP"

That should be helpful.

I guess you didn't read my post properly. :lmao:

I'm unsure what exactly a discussion board is for, if it's not for people to discuss things? :confused3

Anyway, moving back to the topic at hand before this thread gets closed down... to sum up the entire thread:

We basically know nothing about FP+ and now it will work for AP Holders

:lmao: We've learned so much in 1262 posts.....

True. But once you pay for the ticket, they honestly don't care if you spend your entire vacation sitting at the resort. So there is no down side to Disney you you underplan and leave more ride capacity for others.

I'm not sure thats true. Disney would rather you in the parks as most people while in the parks spend money.

Disney would actually like less people in line as there is nothing for you to buy while in line.

One really does wonder what right someone who has a trip in 9 months and a known 60-day-prior reservation period has to go on about their trip possibly being "ruined" by a system that isn't formally launched yet.

Hmmm, I'm guessing this has something to do with linking into the Magic+?

You have my sympathy.

:thumbsup2 Thats why FP was first invented, it isn't really to enhance the guests experience. Since they don't charge for the perk like most parks, it's so that people will walk around the parks, buy drinks, buy snacks, buy merchandise while they're waiting for their ride time. In a line, there is nothing to purchase.

Which people don't do - they ride other attractions, or worse e-tickets, multiple times instead.

Which is why FP as we know it is going the way of the dodo.

And if, due to ongoing and well known Disney website problems, we can't make our reservations? ;)

Unfortunately even you have to admit that you know nothing about how this new system will work, simply because no one actually knows anything about the system, especially how it relates to AP holders. :lmao:

Some people do go on rides. While waiting for FP personally we have gone on rides, bought merchandise, bought snacks, had lunch, had dinner, gone to meet characters, watched Wishes, watched Parades, taken photos, gone to the restroom and... shall I continue the list?

However it is absolutely 100000000000000000000000% guaranteed that if I'm waiting in line for a ride, I'm NOT spending money somewhere else in Disney World. Waiting in line is "free" and Disney isn't a fan of the word free!

Yep, but it just didn't go the way disney would have liked. "Most" people used that saved time to ride other rides and not spend money.

I think FP+ will be closer to what disney intended to happen. At least they think there going to make money off of the program this time around.

I know there are no details yet, but I also believe there will be a larger incentive to stay on property.

Its a very interesting time around the World thats for sure.

Yes. It was in an article that had been posted in this thread somewhere that they idea was to stop guests from going off property. With more planned activities, it would stop the last minute decisions to go to other theme parks ect.

Thats a vary good point. I didn't even think about the "planned activities" part of it.

Magical Express does a decent job of keeping guests money on property, but with universal doing the ticket/transportation packages it was easy to get there.

My question is do AP holders get more then normal benefits if there staying on property and not just doing a day trip?

Being a DVC / AP holder there are so many variables that could / might not happen.

EMH would be one.

With the exception of some discounted hotel rooms, I don't think there are any other real perks. We have AP's but come from another country :lmao: So we have to stay and we always stay on property. But there aren't really any perks for doing so, aside from what everyone else already gets (EMH ect)

I can't think of any specific perk an AP holder gets for staying on property.

Of course. I read the PP's question differently I guess. :goodvibes

I'm looking forward to this. But I wonder why DVC members (like me) would need a separate site for managing FP+? Wouldn't my Disney Experience Website work for all? Surely the DVC site (if it is involved in FP+) would synch to the same app. That is a fairly big assumption getting two major web sites pulling this off.

All good, I thought of EMH too because that is a perk worth staying on property for. We always taken advantage of evening EMH, especially if it's 2am-3am park close! :rotfl2: They have to drag us out of MK! :lmao:

I was kinda unclear.

What I mean is that with the rumour of 20 FP per quarter thing.

Let me give an example using my next trip of 17 nights. If I was to get a 10 day pass, I assume I would get 4 FP for each day of that pass, so 40 in total.

Now if I book the same reservation but with my AP, am I going to be limited to the 20 or am I going to get 4 fp for each day of my trip because im paying 300+ a night for a room?

In my case there is even more doubt because Im using DVC.

Again, it will be interesting thats for sure.
