If I am an AP holder, can I still take advantage of a bounceback offer? I know I can't take advantage of free dining as an AP holder but I wasn't sure if I was barred from the bounceback, too?

Thanks!

Yes, you can book the Bounceback. It is room only, so works better for APs than free dining (though, techinically, you can still book that too, just have to buy useless tickets).

Excellent! Thanks very much.

One follow up question... as an AP holder, if I wanted to take advantage of free dining, I would have to buy a one-day base ticket, right? Is that a single ticket, or one ticket for everyone in my travel group?

Thanks again!

The current free dining promotion requires at least a 2 day base ticket purchase for everyone in your party. Previous promotions required a one day base ticket for everyone in the party.

You don't mention when you are going, but if it's during the Free Dining period please be aware that for the last couple years the only BB offered to guests who were staying during the Free Dining period was to be able to book a return Free Dining package a year in advance :cutie:

For example. last year that FD BB started around August 16 and was available until around October 24, when it expired and a new room discount BB opened. :thumbsup2

True if you want room only, but if you want to add the DDP, AP holders have to buy at least one day park tickets with the % off bounceback too. I know I booked three of the 35% off bounceback deals for 2010 when I was there this past Dec. For each I had to buy one day park tickets in order to add the DDP. If I had done room only I would not have.

I never minded having to book a one day ticket if the overall price of the package was better than a room only discount. I've always got people wanting to go to the parks with me, so I would save up the one day tickets for them to use since I had the AP. You can always apply the value toward your AP renewal as well.

I've booked bouncebacks a couple times (I have one coming up in September) and it's never a problem being an AP holder. They ask if you want tickets too or just a room only, and I tell them room only.

Wait... I'm confused now. As an AP holder, I CAN book a bounceback offer, but I can't add the DDP to the bounceback without purchasing a 1 day base ticket for each person in my party (I'm not talking free dining-- just adding the DDP to my bounceback reservation). Is that correct? I thought AP holders were eligible for the DDP? No?

You are correct. You can book a bounceback offer as either a room only reservation, or as a package. If you want the DDP with a bounceback offer, you must buy at least a 1 day ticket for everyone in your party. AP holder or not, that is the policy for bounceback discounts. Only passholder + dine packages allow AP holders to buy the DDP without having to buy tickets. The room rate will be either rack rate, or an AP discounted rate, if available.

This is exactly correct. Tried to add the Dining plan with my bb offer and was asked to purchase one day tix. . .didn't need them so didn't book dining since I already have Tables in Wonderland.

Yup, same thing happened to me. So we cancelled the bounceback when AP rates were released, and booked the passholder + dine package instead. :thumbsup2
