Aprincess72 Wedding TR! SBP/Raglan Road/Illuminations DP -Complete! Photo link added!

You look great! Your hair is amazing. You wedding seemed so awesome and the bobble head thing is so unique! I hate that your officeint didnt pay more attention to your wants. I love your rings too- i like how you incorporated your family! That hat photo is great too-- i wish I would have thought of that!!
 Congratulations!!

I am SOOOOOO stealing the Mickey ears on all the guests picture idea!! And thanks for including the bobblehead ceremony details - that and your HIGHlarious poses with new DH have inspired me to lighten up on my own wedding day. I'm never serious in real life - why start then? :rotfl:

I ahve that cake server too! I should get it out of the box and start using it!
I love all of your photos-- please feel free to add as many as you like in your Trip Report (load us down)-- plus I think photos really help out future brides. You look so pretty!

ETA: I think your gifts for your guests were so overly the top sweet! What I would have done to have been a guest at your wedding! That stuff was so nice! I hope everyone was really appreciative! Also I noticed the bracelet you are wearing in your photo above-- it looks GREAT on you! I love it.... I remember you saying you saved $60 or something on it. Do you remember how much you spent?

I saw the bracelet at the Swarovski store for $145 and found it on eBay for $85. A steal in my opinion because I am totally in love with it!!! I wear it every day!!! I also bought the Cinderella watch to wear in the wedding because I feel naked without a watch. Everyone said I was bonkers for wearing a watch but heck they already knew I was bonkers!

Yea we got a little carried away with all of our gift bags and favors. I was keeping a spreadsheet but I stopped because I was becoming afraid to look any more! I have all the receipts and one day after a few cocktails I might add them up! The hats were a pretty chunky expense but we figured that Mickey ears are the one Disney souvenier everyone should have. I was really happy to see everyone putting them on before we asked. Some people may have left them on a little too long...
We utilized the outlet near our store as well as our AP discount at World of Disney so that helped a bit. What I didn't account for is all the stuff we ended up getting for ourselves when doing all that shopping!

You look gorgeous! I hope I look half as pretty as you on my big day...

And by the way, I LOVE your hair! It looks so romantic & natural.:flower3:

Thank you! I suspect you will have no problem looking beautiful on your big day!
This makes me giggle and reminds me of something that happened...
I have never thought of myself as pretty... I am more the comedian goofy girl. A lady walked by us as we were sitting on the benches at the boardwalk and I heard her say "aww look how pretty she is". I almost chased her down and kissed her (but then I thought that might be weird). I got a little teary eyed actually. I had never thought that before but it was a real boost to hear something like that from a stranger!

Go for it! The Mickey ears were the very first thing I knew we were absolutely doing!

DH and I just couldn't imagine being serious at our wedding because it's sooo not us. I thought I would cry though but I blame that on hormonal imbalance!
Have fun and be adventurous! I told Rosie to warn our photographer that we are not still formal people so let's do some funny stuff. I didn't anticipate DH getting so into his hat. He had some good times with his hat even though it was too small for his head!
One of those pics looks like I married Mayor McCheese. But he's my McCheesy!

My DH's hat was too small for his head too! But he wore it all over the place and didn't really care that it was barely even on his head. :lmao:

What a fabulous trip report. :thumbsup2 Speaking of stealing stuff from you, I apparently borrowed the wording of your "lesson learned" for my trippie! :upsidedow Funny thing is, I started to read your trip report, laughed because I was thinking of doing the same thing, but when I started my trippie I couldn't remember exactly what you said. I thought it was "moral of the story" so I used "lesson learned." But that's what *you* used! Sorry for stealing your exact wording; my bad!

Tophat was too small for DH's head as well, so we got a regular black ball cap that said Groom on it. I ran into another bride whose husband was wearing the tophat and when I told her why DH wasn't wearing one, she thought it was hilarious that DH had a big head already, before we were even married.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who didn't cry during the ceremony! I really thought I was going to, but when the time came I was just so relaxed (and our vows were sort of funny as well) that it never happened.

Keep up the great trip report and all the pictures. You were a beautiful bride, hot dress and all! (And sorry again about stealing your thunder with the "lesson learned" bit :sad2:)

We stuck around on the boardwalk for a few pictures. Unfortunately we ran out of photography time before I could get some of the shots I really wanted! I was hoping to be able to go over to the other side of the Boardwalk where the carnival games are and get some fun shots.
Between us being late and eh hem, my self appointed photographer, we really lost valuable time. In retrospect I wish I had paid for the extra hour of photography. I started to panic a bit about costs so I cut it out. I think DH is glad I didn’t because it was really hot out there! He now says our wedding was really just a big photo shoot. It does feel that way at some point because you get set up for the exit, the cake, the toast, etc.
We did get to spend a few special moments in the photo booth…

I had also planned for us to ride away in one of the little bikes you can rent on the Boardwalk. This is just one of those things I ran out of time to handle. No big deal although I still think it would have been cute!

Lesson learned: For me it’s go ahead and pay for a little more photography time so there’s more time to get fun pictures!

It’s time to hop into the limo and head on over to Raglan Road at Downtown Disney. Our limo driver had some challenges getting us to the Pleasure Island entrance. He first took us to the Marketplace entrance so I told him this was not the correct entrance and asked him to take us over to the Pleasure Island entrance. He gave us a little attitude and was taking the turns with attitude too! Oh well!

We thought we would be the last ones to arrive at dinner. Surprise! We beat everyone here. I couldn’t figure out why this was since we left last. As soon as my guests started to trickle in I see just why. They all went back to the hotel and changed! I was a bit disappointed about this but since most of our guests were men and wearing suits I couldn’t really blame them. Although I let my dad and brother know that they did that without my permission!!
We had sent in a pre-order for appetizers to start coming out as soon as our guests arrived. The nice thing about being there first was we got to eat some of them! I LOVE the scallop forrest appetizer here! The goat cheese is amazing as well! So I was hitting the appetizers while my guests were filling out their page for my book. I bought my guestbook at www.guestbookstore.com . I LOVE my book! My guests really got in to filling out their pages:

We really enjoyed seeing what they wrote! This book may be my favorite keepsake from the wedding!

I don’t have too many photos from dinner because I think most of us were more interested in eating! I’m ok with that because I was definitely at the front of that line!

They offered us white table cloths to dress it up a bit but I really like the warmth of the wood so we just added candles and flowers around the room.
Here’s a few I do have:

Place cards:
IMG_0706.jpg

I never took a good picture of our place cards but I wish I had. DH calls everyone "the" just like at the beginning of my TR. So I decided to title the place cards this way. The mother, the father, the brother, etc. We put bride's team or groom's team on all of our friends cards. We wanted them to be informal and fun. I love love love how the picture holders came out as place card holders. Everyone was very excited to get to keep theirs!

Dinner was great and I finally started to relax and enjoy everything. It was nice to start winding down from feeling rushed (and sweaty). Our server was awesome and totally took care of us. Everyone really enjoyed Raglan Road.

aww everything looks so nice- i love the photo booth idea-- theres another one of those woulda, shoulda, coulda things for me... theres always a VR

DF and I laughed at your pic of your dress trailing out of the picture booth! You two ARE definitely goofy. I love it.

Those are the cutest picture/place card holders! I can't wait to eat at Raglan Road again...glad you had so much fun...

Your TR is great. You look beautiful in your dress. My favorite pic has to be everyone in their Mickey hats.

He now says our wedding was really just a big photo shoot.

My DH said the same thing! At our Magic Kingdom photo session, our photographer mentioned that girls are usually pretty good about doing poses naturally but guys end up stiff because they're thinking, "What the heck does this have to do with getting married?" :rotfl2:

We are off to EPCOT for our Illuminations dessert party! I can’t wait for this! I went easy on dinner so I had enough room to make the most of this!

I had put a little surprise survival pack in all of DHs guy’s gift bags. I gave them each a cigar and a few mini bottles with some mixers. I also gave DH a cigar even though he just quit smoking. Probably a mistake!

All of the guys ran out of Raglan Road to go puff on their cigars. DH got really carried away with his props as he called them.
Here is his favorite picture:

I had to go round everyone up of course!

Here they come looking like some kind of Disney mafia:
P1010263.jpg

I think this picture is funny! It shows my Sketchers well… lol
P1010245.jpg

Get to the cars people!
P1010257.jpg

I don’t want to be late! I had to have a watch I could wear for the wedding so I used that excuse to buy a new Cinderella watch! I’m a clock watcher… I hate to be late!
P1010264.jpg

I don’t know if anyone else feels this way but for the last two years I have really wanted to write Disney a letter about how bad their directions are around property. I still get lost or miss turns from time to time and I am there all the time. If there is a bus on the right of you and you miss a directional sign you may end up in Tampa before you know it!
With that said, my dad got lost on the way back to the Boardwalk with a car full of people. I’m not sure how you can do this since you just came from the same place!
Anyway, while we were waiting at the Boardwalk we were entertained by a banjo player. We had a great time and everyone walking by seemed to really be enjoying it. We shared a dance:

So did some of our guests:
P1010280.jpg

We decided that we needed to go ahead and get over to the International Gateway because I had requested to start our dessert party a bit early. I really wanted to see Mo’Rockin since they are right next to the Morocco Terrace. Turns out they were not there that night! Grrr! Oh well!
We get in line for the boat to EPCOT and just as we begin to board I see the losties at the back of the line. Someone in line saw us yelling at them to walk and not wait for the boat. The crowd started passing back the message to let the wedding party through. This was very nice! I felt a little guilty but everyone in line decided to let them ahead. The fun thing was that everyone on the boat and in line was clapping for us. You get so much attention walking around in a wedding dress! We were really loving it!

I have a very serious sweet tooth so I vowed I would not be one of those brides who didn’t get anything at my dessert party! I let everyone know ahead of time to not get in front of me in the line!
P1010294.jpg

I can’t believe we didn’t get any pictures of the dessert table. By this time though I was really not interested in taking any pictures! Lol! I mean there was dark chocolate fondue to be had so I couldn’t think about much else.
On my first trip I went for one of everything. I also instructed the servers that no one was to get the last of the strawberries and dark chocolate. THAT IS MINE! They thought that was funny but they assured me they had some hidden just for me! Loved those people! They were super nice and fun!
Ok… I have one of everything so the rest of you can have some too:
P1010300.jpg

I couldn’t get the strawberries down fast enough so I got some help:

I think DH is counting my trips to the dessert table:
090_90.jpg

Our WP knew that we were total geeks so she asked our escort if DH could hold her “light saber”. That sure made his night!
IMG_36.jpg

I even helped recreate the Star Wars poster:
P1010324.jpg

DH wanted to watch the show and not worry about posing for pictures so this is the only one I have of us watching Illuminations:

The party is over and it’s time to go!
073_73.jpg

As we walked down the path to the Boardwalk we stopped for a moment at SBP just to reflect on the day. Then we headed over to the Boardwalk lobby to catch a cab. As we walked though everyone was clapping and yelling out congratulations.
It was a great day! I wish I remembered more of the ceremony but it all became a blur!
As we were leaving the dessert party I heard some of the guys say that this was the best wedding they had ever been to. That was really great to hear!
I just can’t believe it’s over!

The biggest lesson I learned: Marry someone who makes you laugh every day!

I absolutely LOVE your TR. You two look like you had a blast on your wedding day. I hope ours can be half as playful ! Can't wait to see more pics.

We scheduled a family day at MGM. We decided that MGM was not as busy as some of the other parks and there is a bit of everything there for everyone. DH and I both get up pretty early for our jobs so we thought we should get to the park early and take advantage of extra magical hours. Yea, that so didn't happen! We were really exhausted since yesterday was such a long day! I have to say after being stuck in that dress all day and sweating, I had the best shower I've ever had that night!

Back to Saturday...
Only the BIL and his GF made it to MGM with us around 9ish. We headed for RRRC first! We rode once and got fast passes for later. Then we went to the Tower of Terror and waited in the longest line I've ever seen!
092_92.jpg

The old folks all decided they would meet us at lunch time. I made ADR for everyone to join us at 50s Prime Time Cafe. I just love this place. DH and I went once on his birthday and the waitress gave him such a hard time. I was on the floor rolling because she did the airplane and made him eat his greens.
Anyway, I had ADR for 20 but we lost some folks along the way! DHs friends all decided not to come to MGM. They stayed out to late and were driving home that day so I can't say I blame them!

Almost everyone made it! MOH wasn't feeling well so my bro stayed with her.

What to have for dessert?? (If you don't have the smores here you are crazy)

Pot Roast & Smores grow big muscles!
P1010442.jpg

Funny story about this shirt... I bought it at Disneyland a year before DH proposed. We were on a break when I bought it but I knew we'd get married eventually. I just had to wait for him to figure it out!

We hustled back to RRRC to use our fast passes. We hung out in line for 10 minutes with no movement at all. Then they announced it was broken down. I was somewhat relieved since I just ate a huge meal!

We met up with the family around 2ish and did Muppets and the backlot tour.
Here DF & BIL are showing their dad what big boys they grew up to be:

Did he really lick the pole??? I really hope not!!!
Here I am trying to decide: (check out my new watch! teehee!)
P1010476.jpg

We split up for a bit and our plan was to meet up with everyone for Fantasmic. Around 5 we started to realize we were not going to make it! Plus we have to be up super early tomorrow for our MK photo shoot!!

We head back to POFQ and went down to SFW to get some grub. We hung out and listened to the awesome jazz guy that plays there for a bit. A few of my friends stopped by to say good bye!

It's off to bed so we can get all fancied up early in the am....

I am really enjoying your TR. You were a beautiful bride....looking forward to hearing more!

I got that shirt too! We invited people out to MK ad EPCOT with us the day after our wedding so I got that shirt to wear that day! And I had to wear my bride ears too! :goodvibes
