Has anyone ever gone to Hilton Head in the beginning of April? Was wondering what the weather would be like at that time. Being from the north east, anything would be an improvement!thanks.

Hi-
We'll be down at HH for Easter so I've been checking this out- From what I can find, the weather should be in the 70's during the day with lows in the 50's at night. Rainfall averages about 3.25 inches per month in April. The pools at HH are heated, and the ocean temp. should be in the 60's. (My kids will swim in this because thats what our ocean temp is in August here on Long Island!!
Happy planning!:earsboy:

We have gone the past two April's checking in on the 13th one year and the 14th the other. We had absolutely gorgeous weather. Sunny, no bugs, probably hitting a high of about 80 each day. Last year the week before was horrible there with tons of rain that did not let up all week. They said a lot of people checked out early. We just got lucky. This year our school break is mid- March and we are going to HH, I am concerned, but we had no choice. I just hope we do not have a lot of rain.

We have been to HH in early April several times. One year it felt like July and we hardly ever left poolside. (Although the ocean was still a bit cool...) Last year, we were there during that cold rainy week previously mentioned. While it wasn't ideal, we still enjoyed ourselves and took the opportunity to explore other things on the island that we usually don't take time for!
