April WDW Vacation is ON! Planning has started!

Sammi -- agree with you too! We live in Thornhill and the drive to Buffalo isn't a big deal at all. We actually have friends who live in Buffalo that we go visit a couple of times a year so are used to the drive which is only about an hour longer than it would take us to get to Pearson. The airport is so much smaller so the navigation is a breeze. Plus all the personnel we've talked to at Southwest are so friendly that it's a pleasure to fly. After our next trip we will have flown 4 times in the last 13 months and wouldn't fly from Toronto unless we absolutely had to. Paying the taxes and surcharges out of Pearson is just insane. I too read that it was the most expensive airport in the world in terms of landing fees. It's not the fault of the airlines but the taxes they have to charge to pay all of their fees is pricing Pearson out of the market I think.

Clearing customs at the border is way easier than clearing customs and immigration at Pearson as well and it means that you are flying domestic not international. With Southwest's checkin online 24 hours in advance and curbside checkin flying out of Buffalo is the way to go for us.
