My job is looking to send me out to Orlando for a conference in either April or October, which month would yall say is better? I got to go during MNSSHP this year but not sure if it’d be better to go again during that time or try visiting during a different month. Thanks!

Either can be great. Crowds are lighter at the end of April (the last two-or-so weeks) than the rest of the month. October tends to have lighter crowds throughout the whole month. The weather should be similar; October might be slightly cooler.

The Flower & Garden Festival will be going on at Epcot in April. If you've never been, it would be a great time to visit.

Be a little careful with April. Easter is April 12 in 2020. You don't want to be a week on either side of it. Otherwise, either is fine...

F&G in April, F&W in Oct. I've been both times and April seems a little less rainy to me and maybe a tad cooler. If you like Halloween decorations, all the parks will be dressed up for that in Oct. MK will close early some nights because of the party. Can't go wrong with either but I'd tend to lean toward April, just because I'm not a fan of all the Halloween stuff.

It’d be April 1-11th, are the weeks before and after Easter crazy?
Yes! The week before Easter can have 10/10 crowd levels at times. The week after isn't quite as busy, but still above what you'd find later in the month. Personally, given your dates and a choice, I'd be inclined to go with October.

Last week of April is one of my favorite times to visit. Weather is beautiful. Warm in day and cools at night. No humidity. Light crowds. Flowers everywhere.

April 1-11- the first three days shouldn’t be insane, but starting on the 4th it’ll be insanely crowded. But if you’re going by yourself, you know your way around the parks and try not to backtrack much, are willing to pack snacks/eat meals at off times or at sit downs, and are good with refreshing to obtain many same day fp, you can still have a good time and get a lot done. Just be prepared to not walk anywhere quickly, wait for bathrooms, long security lines, etc. Any Disney trip where the actual travel is paid for by your company is better than no Disney trip, regardless of crowd level.

October isn’t exactly slow anymore anyways. It’s one of the busier months. The parties and food and wine festival have done an excellent job at increasing attendance. Plus, some schools/colleges have an October break. Keep in mind that October is still the middle of hurricane season though, which means there’s a chance the weather could be awful and/or the parks could close.
