April Showers Bring May Flowers & A Much Anticipated Disney Trip.NEW-BEST STEAK EVER!

Oh the suspense! If he won I hope you got a really great consolation prize such as a Mickey Bar! :)

I liked Mama Melrose when we went last year. I'm glad you had a good meal too!

the suspense is killing me as well! lol. Hello readers! Sorry i have been an absentee writer since we got back. My best friend got married this past weekend so I've been kinda running around with the wedding party. Hope you're all enjoying the trip report so far. Can't wait to hear more ;)

Who won????????????

I agree with you on Mama Melrose, we liked the food also but the service was very slow.

Well I know that you all have been sitting on the edges of your seats ;) , so I will tell you what happened with the mini golf game.

WE. TIED.

Justin did not finish adding up the scores until we were back to the boat dock. Had he tallied the scores while we were still at the course, there would have been a rematch (remember how I mentioned that he was really competitive, and that it rubbed off on me - I was not satisfied with a tie).

So after our-mini golf game, we went back to DHS. The only attraction we went to was the Indiana Jones Stunt Show, and when we went back to POP…not that interesting! Therefore, we are (finally) on to

THURSDAY, MAY 22

We had another early wake-up call (a trend on this trip) because we wanted to catch the EMH hours at Magic Kingdom. We (me, Justin, and his parents) stopped for a quick breakfast at Everything POP and hopped right on a bus.

The park opening ceremony was ending as we were walking up to the gates. After we got into the park, we made a beeline for the Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor – something that none of us had seen before!

I thought this was SUCH a great show! I love that its interactive with the audience.

We then made the short walk to Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. Fortunately, the was NOT a tie here – I kicked butt - 252,000

As we were leaving that ride, I spotted this guy (who tried to steal my water bottle)

Next on the list was Space Mountain. Justin’s parents sat this one out. We walked right on (there were NO lines so far – gotta love those early morning hours!) and I got the first seat!

After Space Mountain, we were pretty much finished with Tomorrowland, and we made our way over to Fantasyland.

There aren’t many pictures from this part of the morning so I will make it short and sweet: We all rode The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Snow White’s Scary Adventures, and Peter Pan’s Flight. At this point our group decided to split up. Justin and I went to Mickey’s PhilarMagic…you know, the one where you get to where those designer glasses?

The show was great as usual (even with the loud group directly behind us who thought it would be fun to videotape their rowdy kids throughout the entire movie…having your seat kicked only adds to the experience of this show  ).

Next was one of my all-time favorites – the Haunted Mansion! I was so excited to see the updates in this ride:

Justin didn’t notice any changes because he “doesn’t care” for this ride :sad2: . I, on the other hand, thought they were great.

At this point it was about 10:00 AM ( we had only been at the park about 2 hours).

Tom Sawyer Island was opening and we decided to head over in search of the elusive paintbrush. We were on the second boat over and the minute we stepped onto the island we could tell that others had the same idea in mind.

We watched everyone else take the path towards the left so we (of course) went to the right :thumbsup2 After 5 or 10 minutes of walking through cave tunnels and over wobbly bridges we fouuunnnnndddd

THIS!

I can’t take credit – Justin found it on his own when he was looking over here:

but I was still realllly excited!

We explored the island for a little bit and saw plenty of people still searching for a paintbrush. After parading our paintbrush around for a while, we went back to the boat and showed the cast member our find. First she told Justin that he would finish painting the fence with it. ;) Then she told us to let everyone else leave the boat and wait behind; she had something “special” for us.

Everyone left the boat and we followed her towards the shack. As we rounded the corner, we got another surprise :dance3: ….

congrats, we havun't done tow sawyers island in ages were gonna finally do it again this year, i'll be keeping my eye out for a paintbrush!!!

i wanna know what you suprise was, your keeping me in suspend!(sp?)!!!!!

Congrats on finding the paint brush. We searched and searched but never found one.

Thanks! I think we just got there at the right time (early!)

I think that they hide a couple of paintbrushes each morning, so keep your eyes peeled! :thumbsup2

You are definitely skilled at the art of the cliffhanger!

Seriously?! I just started reading your TR and this is the cliffhanger?! A really good one. I want to know!!!

As we rounded the corner towards the shack we came face to face with the DREAM SQUAD! :worship: Every person who had been on our boat was picked to be a part of the Year of a Million Dreams – we all won the YOMD Mickey Ears!

Then we got our paintbrush prize : 1 “priority entrance pass” for the 2 of us to use at any fastpass attraction in the park that day!

Next up we used a fastpass for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad:

We learned that this ride can feel completely different, depending on whether you sit up front or in the back. The ride is waaaay more tame when you sit in the front of the train (we like the very last row!)

Afterwards, we made our way to Pirates of the Caribbean.

This was closed for a rehab during our last trip (May 2006) so this was ride was long overdue for us. I thought the additions to this ride were great. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone else so I’ll leave it at that ….;)

I was craving a snack…not just any old snack though. I wanted to try the infamous (at least on the DisBoards) Dole Whip! We ordered a Pineapple Dole Whip Float to share:

It was delicious – the perfect snack for a hot day. Its great to share and well worth a snack credit!

We had fastpasses for Splash Mountain (which had been broken down earlier in the day) so that was next on our list. There was hardly any wait, even for those without fastpasses. Here is a crappy picture of my favorite part of the ride (after the big drop!)

We stopped in for a “quick” lunch at Cosmic Rays - it was packed – we both had Chicken Finger baskets (of course!) and went back to Tomorrowland for a few more rides (Carousel of Progress, TTA, Buzz Lightyear).

By this point we were beat. It had been a long morning and the heat was getting to us, so we went back to POP for a nap.

Next up: Dinner at BOMA !

Very nice Dole Whip....umm I mean update...sorry I couldnt get past the dole whip...it looks so good...I will have to wait till Oct. lol

MMMmmmmmm, dole whip!!!!!!

I have 52 more days until my next dole whip!! hehe
