Wow, I just tried to book a vacation in April 2009 - (Spring Break, always the third week on the school calendar.) Instead of the standard 270 points for a week (1 BR) that we have paid the last two years, Disney jacked up the points to 350 a week :scared1: because according to DVC, Easter got moved back to mid April. I'm not buying another 80 points just to make Disney richer. And I'm not borrowing points since we go every year.

Guess we will have to settle for a studio. - Bummer!!!! :confused3 It will be crowded.

And I really don't want to find out what the airfare will be like out of CT!!!

Yep, if Easter moves, seasons moves. Not really Disney's fault that Easter and its associated demand hops around the calendar.

Over the course of a year, though, I think the points are spread out pretty fairly to reflect demand.Unfortunately, we are always the week before Easter--peak crowds and peak points.

So very true, and some people are tied to travelling at Eatser hence get peak points and crowds every year.

Claire ;)

The points are always the same for each category. If they make a change to the points for each night it always still adds up to the original point total for the week. The only difference is they fact that you are now going during a different season. There's nothing wrong with a studio. I'm a points miser. I won't spend the points on more than a studio because we are a family of 3. We are taking my inlaws next year and I am booking 2 studios because it's way cheaper than a 2 bedroom.

You brave soul! Last April did me in...weather was fantastic, resort was great, parks were awful!! Just make due this year, next year you will be fine.

Well the airfare is running anywhere from $1600 - $2300 for three of us and none are direct flights.

Guess we will try and take time off in Feb during the Winter break - at least our annual passes will still be good but do not know about the crowds.

Smart - we stayed at BWV in a Studio in June during a business conference. About 4 days is all I can handle in a tight space.

Way less crowded than Easter!
