Since it seems most of the free world is going to be joining us next month at WDW- let's discuss packing. I am going the 18-28th... are you packing- raincoats / ponchos? Light jackets/ sweatshirts? pants? fans? I usually go in the heat of summer and am pretty thrown off by the possibilities!
Any advice welcome!:thumbsup2

We were there in April of 06 and are planning a return trip in April of 09 now:cool1:
We did NOT bring any coats or ponchos...we did have sweatshirts and jeans, but most of us (adults and kids) wore shorts each day.....nights we changed to jeans. We did the BB one day and swam almost every day as well.
Coming from the northeast.....April FLA weather is a welcome change

we always go during our easter break. but now that i started college and my brother is still in high school, we're not going during easter. im missing 4 days of school and my brother has a week off during april so w'ere going in april. in leave the 10th. and i always pack one pair of pants and one pair or capri's. i also bring a hoodie and a zip up. my mom bought a nice spring jacket from disney last year that she sometimes wears during the nights. hope this helps!

We'll be there from 4/27-5/4. Planning to pack tons of sunscreen, mainly shorts and 1-2 pairs of jeans, a light jacket, and the usual stuff. Rain might be an issue, but we tend to just duck into shows when that happens.

Krismom,

We'll see you down there. We are headed there almost the same dates (we are 18-25). We will most likely be packing ponchos, jeans and sweatshirts. The only way we will be packing jackets is if we need them up here. They would just be for getting to the plane. But we are DEFINITELY bringing our swimming suits. :cool1:

One big happy Family:dance3: ,we go around easter as well,we will be there april 2 to the 9th.We bring ponchos but not for the rain but for Kaili river rapids:rotfl2: and one pair of pants. Were from the NW,just the word Flordia sounds warm:cool1: see you all there:)

I know what you mean! I know TONS of people going to WDW during my date 4/17-27.....

I haven't started packing yet, (BUT I am dying to!). I'll have lots of shorts, the jeans I wear down, couple capris, and 3 swim suits! (I hate wet suits...:goodvibes )

Can't wait! only 31 more days for us!

we will be there apr 12-20. haven't packed yet, but have started my packing list :thumbsup2

i'm definitely bringing light jackets and will probably wear pants every day. i get "cold" if the wind blows hard! and we've been there several times when the weather has been mild so i know i'll get chilled at night. swimsuits, definitely, but i'm not gonna pack ponchos or umbrella. like PP, we just get out of the rain and april has the least rainfall of the year there, so i'm gonna keep my fingers crossed...

We'll be there too!!! Apr 19-27. We haven't started packing yet, so I don't have a list to share, but the kids' Easter baskets are Disney themed this year. I ordered the disney messenger bags (thanks to the budget board), so the kids will get those in their baskets along with some pins from ebay, m&m tubes for quarters and pennies, older DD is getting "Guide to the magic for kids" and "How to draw Tinker Bell", and a couple of disney t-shirts.

Like most everyone else, I'm thinking mostly shorts and t's, 1-2 pant's/capri's, and a sweatshirt or jacket. I think April is considered low rain season, so I'm not really concerned with rain jackets. If it rains we'll just shop for a bit.

I'm wondering if I should bring swimsuit cover-up's for the kids, and of course they want pool toys.

I've never used the over the door shoe holder, but I do want to try one this trip. I need to stop at the dollar store and look. We are staying at POP, and it looks like there isn't a lot of room in sink/vanity area.

I'm going to try to go lighter this year. In the past we have taken lots of snacks for the airport and a lot of "things to do on the plane" and we really didn't use most of them, so I'm scaling down a bit.

We also overpacked for the parks, so this year I'm not going to bring snacks, rain jackets, spinning toys, etc. I'm going to try to do the basics; tylenol/advil, something for upset stomach, bandaids and sunscreen. These will be in a small ziplock. We will take a water bottle, but plan on just asking for a cup of water when we need it. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to carry along the autograph books. Of course I will have my camera, extra batteries and extra card.

I always feel like the pack mule! Not this time!!!;)

Typing this out makes me realize I should go and at least start gathering things!!!

We'll be there the same dates (18-28). It seems like instead of that week being just New England (Patriot's Day), since it also covers Passover, there will be lots of people from the NY metro area so I gather the crowds will be bigger than last year. Sigh.

Anyway, last year we left during a snow/rainstorm here in MA and arrived to sunny weather in the low 80s and high 70s. I think there were a few days when they threatened showers, but I don't remember them ever actually appearing. There were a few days when an overshirt was nice to have, but I never put my fleece sweater back on until we got back to the Hartford airport.

It's really about the best time to go, weather wise. Don't tell, though. :rolleyes1

April 10th - 17th. I'm going out today to get those ponchos to pack. I'm also going to bring a small disposable camcorder from CVS. It's a certain amount of time & at the end you bring to CVS to develop. It's as small as a disposable camera. I started my list of stuff to bring & it's only getting longer!! Can't wait till the trip!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Happy packing to all April travelers!!:cheer2:

We're there April 1-5.:woohoo:
Sneakers, walking sandals, flip flops for the pool.
light jacket, disposable ponchos
Sunscreen and sunglasses.
Journal to take notes for my TR and scrapbook. (Leaving it in the room for the most part.)
Camera, extra batteries, extra card, pocket tripod.
Cell phone charger.
Tons of Ziploc bags, for well everything.
Shiny pennys for pressing.

So I guess I'll see you all there!!!

I'm ready to wear shorts! (Well, mentally ready...I still have lily white legs.) I am bringing jeans or capris for night.

We'll be there from the 4-13, and since we are moving out of the country and need to pack our overseas moving boxes separately, I sent all of our Disney clothes on ahead of us (via postal mail) to my sis's house in KY, where we'll start our roadtrip from. Whatever is in those boxes is what we get- if we need more, we'll have to make a Walmart run sometime during our stay, I guess. In those boxes are shorts, T-shirts, swimsuits, even the understuff we'll need. We'll wear pants, long sleeved shirts, and sweatshirts on the plane from Oregon to KY, so we'll have those too if needed. Yes, we'll be getting ponchos as well, for Kali, and I've also put lots of extra socks in those boxes!

We'll be there 4/10-4/20...can't get here soon enough. I have a Disney box in my room that I keep adding to with things like moleskin, bandaids, bandaid blister block, sunscreen...you get the picture. I think that we will take light jackets for the girls but dh and I will just take hoodies. We do have ponchos to bring just incase!

Our dates are 4/17 - 4/25. I pulled a box of shorts/tees for my boys out of the attic last night. DH thought I was nuts for getting started, but I just wanted to take an inventory. I have three boys and they have all moved up a size since last summer. I feel better now that I know what I need to get. I am trying to not overpack, but will definately bring sweatshirts and 1 pair of jeans each. Already picked up some ponchos.

April 17th-27th for us too! I have started gathering stuff but haven't accually decided what I will bring. Since we'll be coming from much cooler weather (Canada) we'll probably be wearing pants or capris to the airport and I'll pack an extra pair of pants and capris incase it gets cool at night. Maybe a light rain jacket for the kids. I don't want to carry them into the parks everyday though unless it's calling for rain. I'll probably pack one light sweater or long sleeved shirt for each of us as well. I can't wait!

April 16-26th here! Can't wait to get to warm weather! Already started the packing, but not the clothes part of it (bringing aero bed, bfast food etc), but we've been there in April and trust me, all you need are shorts and tees. Also ponchos. Don't bother with any pants, sweaters etc, you just won't wear them. If you get cold, you can always buy a sweatshirt there. See you all on Main St. in 30 days!!:thumbsup2

Wow it seems like April is goint to be BUSSSY. Were going April 30th till may 11th. Are most people who our on sping bk going to be gone by then? In terms of packing I was wondering if spay sunblock gets bad. We went in september 2007 and I went a little crazy with the bottles of sunblock that you spray.I came back with 3 unopened bottles and bought one the other day at target. Are the one from last yr still good? I didn't want to open them until we got there but I hate to get there and them be bad. They do expire in 2009.

WE are going April 26 till may 3 I hope its warm but not too hot. I bought my daughter custom disney dress's and the are very summery. we are in new england so we will probably end up wearing pants down but I don't plan on packing any unless I see that the weather forcast shows it may be cool. For suntan lotion I will def. be bringing the spray stuff it is so much easier to apply on the kids.
