Hi All ~ We love WDW in April, but we are considering October ~ never been in the Fall...so what do you thing? April or October and WHY? Blessings ~ Sandra

I've done both. April tends to be warmer, higher crowds (slightly) and later park hours. October has MNSSHP which is a MUST SEE!! And, you should do so dressed up! We went as the Peter Pan family (ds 4 - Captain Hook, dh - Peter Pan, dd1 Tinkerbell and I was Wendy) Leaving our hotel we felt a little funny...but once at the park...we were SO GLAD we participated. It was so much fun. People were coming up to us and chatting about our costumes and we did likewise. (Ours were homemade, nothing fancy, but it was cute being a family) Temps were in the 70s, much more comfortable for touring than 80s & 90s. Crowds seemed to be a little less in Oct too.

We just got back from an Apr/May trip this year and I swore never again. it was VERRRRRY hot and humid...the crowds were up up up and you just couldn't do as much. We spent a lot more time poolside just to keep everyone happy and hydrated. I know, hot weather can happen anytime, but I think from now on, we'll do Oct...or perhaps early April.

Wow, we had a totally different experience. We were there this last year in both April and October. Early October was way too hot and humid. Early April was perfect! Yes there were crowds, but I thought about equal. Last October though we had a lot of people come who bumped their trips due to the crazy Sept hurricanes, so maybe other Octobers are better crowd wise. We did love MNSSHP. It was great fun, but early in the month, the heat was such that some costumes wouldn't have worked at all.

Good luck!

We have done April for the last two trips. I like the Epcot Flower thingy. And being from Canada, April in Florida is a nice intro to the summer. But October's weather seems nice too? hhhhmmmm....still thinking....S

We were at WDW during late Oct./early Nov. 2002 and we had temps between 80 to 90 every day! Humidity was nothing like July/Aug. though!
Loved MNSSHP - all the kids in our party dressed for the occassion.

Can't compare to April as we have never been in Spring...yet.
