Ok, so we are FINALLY getting back to Disneyworld after 6 YEARS. We will be going right after tax returns in either April or May. The question is, when should we go? It can either be the last week of April, or the first week of May. Which should we choose? What will the temps be around this time? How about the crowds? Thanks so much!!

I've been both of those times and loved it so I think you should just choose whichever week works out best for you. The temps can get pretty warm during the day but it's not hot and humid like it will be later in May. Nights are usually very nice with comfy temps.

We found crowds to be very manageable, especially since the spring breaks are over and schools aren't out yet. We do always get to the parks at opening though and that makes a huge difference in getting things done and not having to wait in lines. At MK we have usually done everything in Fantasyland plus POC, HM, and Jungle Cruise by 11:00. That's on an EMH morning which you can take advantage of if you stay onsite. We could walk on to all those rides pretty much but when we went back by them after 11:00, the lines were already backed up.

You will also be there during the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot. It's really amazing and quite beautiful. They have special things for the little ones to do and lots of interesting displays to see.

I think late April / early May is a very good time to go. :thumbsup2 Have a great trip! :wave2:

We went during the same time in May that you are thinking about going and we loved it. It was during the Flower and garden festival. We spent Mother's day at Epcot. The weather was in the mid to upper 80s during the day. Crowds were very manageable. I don't think we waited longer than 25min at the longest for anything.

Thank you both!!

I think we will probably go April 27th-May 5th. I can't wait!!!

May is tied w/December as my favorite month to go! The Spring Break crowds are gone and the weather is awesome! Also, it's Epcot's Flower & Garden Festival.

We went the first week of May this year and it was wonderful. Crowds were tolerable, we never had to wait very long in lines and the weather was PERFECT! My vote is the beginning of May.

Since you r only talking about a 2 week window here, either week will be good,, In fact, now that i think of it a bit, you might be better off going in may,, i am not 100% sure but i think april is considered a peak time when it comes to rates because of school vacations,, May just might put you past the peak time and get you cheaper rates on your room,, take some time and check it out,

I would say May as you then get to experience the EPCOT Flower and garden festival and possibly the Star wars weekends at MGM depending on the dates.
