Long time member with a new log in here...Just wanting people's thoughts on which week would be better--last week of April or first week of May? Better in terms of crowds, groups (cheerleaders, tour, etc.). Easter is earlier in April, so I suspect those crowds will be gone, but do others have spring breaks that late in month?

Thanks!

We have gone mid and end of April and mid-May, never the first week.
There are still some Spring Breaks, but most are done by late April. Weather is much warmer in May ( at least mid ot later).
Early May, you may also have Mothers day at the end of that week. Not sure about early May, but mid-May had lots of Elementary, Jr High and High school "Graduation" groups. Almost every grade from the local schools. You could tell by the matching t-shirts.

I would go the end of April going into May. In fact, I am looking at changing our reservation to that time myself. I have been the first week of may before and it was so nice; crowds, temperature, Flower and Garden. However, I feel nothing is going to be "normal" at Disney for a couple of years. We are scheduled to go in August this year, and though the thought of possible reduced crowds can't override the thought of reduced experiences, attractions, and having to wear a mask during the heat. We are just trying to figure out when to go. My vote is for April into May. Our state has these Standard of Learning tests, though, and they are usually in May, which would sadly keep us from going at that time.

We are going 4/28-5/7!

After all my research, I think that's the sweet spot! Of course weather is a always a wild-card and now Covid really throws things into crazy, but sticking with that timeframe. Hopefully kids are back in school at that point, still have Flower/Garden, before humidity really kicks in, before Mom's day....there is a cheer/dance competition that happens those weekends (maybe, who knows now), but from what I've been told doesn't really affect the parks. Possibly hotel if you are staying with them though.

If you book come on over to the Happy Dance sub-forum and join our May 2021 thread! Everyone is welcome!
:D

We have done Spring/Easter break - DD & DS were in school
Lots going on in the parks
Easter bunny visits
Just get up early - do rope drops &/or extra magic hours in the AM
Then leave the EMH AM park and go to the park which had the EMH PM hours the day before

Yes you need to park-hop :)

I think we've nailed down our dates to 4/27-5/4, which is a Tues-Tues. Kind of odd, but it works with my daughter's job. This is the one time of year that I haven't been, so I'm looking forward to a new experience.

We are May 7 - May 16 = 2021 ...... must have a COVID-19 vaccine
or we will be the same time frame in 2022

Mothers Day, May 8, 2021, since I am a Mom, we are going to slightly sleep in - May 7 we arrive late 9 PM at MCO, then off to POP. Century
If if there is a cheerleader crowd at POP for the weekend - no matter.
We normally eat breakfast in our room, and the cheerleader girls were cute with a bus to EPCOT with them, years ago, They even did a cheer for us :)

Try get the breakfast at the Riviera - Topolino 's Terrance - since we can Sky Liner there ;) Hoping for no rain., IF no Skyliner then it will cost us money to get to the Rivera :(

Then Sky Liner to EPCOT for the afternoon.
Maybe boat to DHS for evening.
