April/May discount released

I just switched my existing package code with free hopping &Water parks & More to the new code and changed to garden at CR. Added another day of tickets and it only raised my package cost $200 from what my WL room was. Biiger room, extra day of tickets for what we wanted (didn't really want the water parks part). Whoo Hoo!

Congratz!!! I called at 1pm for a quote for CR with the package code and was told that nothing is available for our time...

DBf is thinking of switching to CR but I guess we are much better off with our package code at GF.

We enjoy the CR, haven't stayed in a "new room " yet, our tower stay gave us an old room. The GF is great too, I didn'teven ask if anything was available there. I originally called to see if I could apply the room only code for my 1 night at the Pop, only to be told there were no code rooms available. I inquired about the difference between the old package we had and this new one. WIthout even slowing down the woman said that the one I had was better for me. After having dealt with the phone people there and knowing how they are I hung up and called back, and got a great guy that looked and told me this was better for what we wanted. I had to confer with all family members (called DH at work, went to the kids' schools to ask them , checked older DD out(it was supposed to be a planning day today but we are now making up the tornado day from last week)), then called back and switched it over to CR. Funny thing was if I had kept the old amount of hopper tickets and the room at WL, it would have cost me $31 MORE than booking the CR. Oh yeah, the old package was better for me, concidering I TOLD the first CM that we cared nothing about the water parks or DQ!

Hi Smiley! The codes are great. I have told lots of Uk friends about them. Seems like the codes are still a bit of a secret over here. We have saved a lot over the years and have just used the annual pass holder discount to save $1150 on a five night stay at AKL!!!!

Someone please tell me what to do if I already have my package paid and want to apply the discount. What do I do, just call and add the discount or do I have to cancel and rebook? Please help! I want to save money!

I would think they would. I tried to aply the room only code to my arrival night say at Pop. They told me they had nothing available in that category for the discount. The same thing when I tried to change my existing package at WL, no rooms available. I was able to switch to CR for less money (yes) and it caused me to add another day of tickets. Call the 800 # and see what happens. 800-828-0228

I thought I would let you know that I tried to get the discount on my upcoming trip at POFR, Apil 17-24 and was not able to get it. Apparently the only allow so many rooms per discount. The person tried to apply the discount and it came back not available.. The website makes it look like anyone can get it, but that is not true.

That's true, they only have so many rooms per category per resort. As I mentioned I was booked at WL, the only thing they had a vailable there for my days was a deluxe room, too much $$ in my book. At the CR I also could have booked Tower MK view for more $$ also. I di notice that moderates and values were pretty much nonexistent.

We are looking to do a 7 night 8 day trip to the MK in late April or Early May.

Just curious what would be attached to my name I called up Disney reservations and spoke to a very nice CM.

She put me on hold after I told her the dates, 3 adults, AKL, Parkhopper, plus meals.

Came back with a package deal that came in just under $3K.

In checking rack rates for AKL and everything else, looks like I'm saving about 34.6% or $1,038.00

Should I even bother calling DU for a quote or go with this???

Thanks for the input. I also wonder if the DDP is really worth the $818.79 I was quoted.

Just changed from AAA to the BUC code room only for 7 nights at the POLY May 12-19 and saved over $500.00

If you were told no rooms were available, keep trying. Sometimes rooms get held up on courtesy hold, and sometimes people switch from their resort to another. My TA tried POFQ yesterday with no luck and then found availability today. Don't give up. Rooms get canceled all of the time.

I'm just curious....I tried to change my existing MYW package plus dining to a Room-only res then add park tickets and dining a la carte in order to use the new April/May code. My CM told me that I can't add DDP separately, only when booked as a package. Has anyone tried the ZHE package code? If so, what are the details and how did you do it? It's not a huge deal...the room only code would have saved me about $200, but not worth it if I have to ditch the dining. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated! (Staying at POR 4/29-5/5)

I called this morning to try and apply one of the new codes to existing ressie at Poly and the first CM I got told me that it's only avail for Value Resorts - end of conversation. Knowing better because of the DIS I called back and got a different CM who said I COULD apply it to a Deluxe resort but unfortunately there is still nothing avail. at Poly. She did tell me they could apply it at GF lagoon view or the BC so if anyone is interested in those you should call!!
I'm going to keep trying for Poly - I've already paid in full so any additional discount I can get now is just bonus!!

I called three times yesterday to try and have the "ZHE" code applied to my stay at the Poly in May, and I could not get it. The last CM (a man) I spoke to took a really long time trying to help me as best he could (maybe he tried to put it into the computer a couple of different ways). The first CM told me there was only availability at the Boardwalk, and AKL. The second CM told me there were no promotions out, and since I had an existing reservation I would have known about it before anyone else Yeah Right! Anyway, I am happy that I am going to the Poly, and I will call a few more times. Dont ever take no for an answer, keep calling back until you get someone who you feel is trying to be helpful, not trying to get you off the phone.

Bushman, was that with the new code that included dining? Dreams is a great company, I have used them for my last 5 or so trips. This time I have booked everything myself butplan to turn it over to them. If I had done that already (before this code came out) my agent would have known about this code (which she did) and looked into it before I happened to find it. Who knows waht she could have found for me earlier? That's what I love about them, they are constatnly trying to find the best deals for you, all at NO COST TO YOU. Their fees are paid by Disney. Also, they prepare an itinerary for you, based on your answers to questions about park and dining choices, and have it ready for you to download a few days before you travel. IF you are not a regular to the parks this can be very helpful for you. THey also will try to book your dining for you as well.

Just checked online for my dates (4-25 - 5/1) and resort (CBR) and it's coming up with nothing available for me Actually, I tried all the moderates, and nothing was available. I do have the AAA discount though - not sure how much more $ I would save.

I'm going to call my AAA agent now, and see if she can get this discount applied - worth a shot! I'll keep you posted...

jdd- We're staying at CBR (May 19-26) Standard view. I had AAA at 1104.53 total. Applied the BUC code and my new total is 1094.66. Not a big difference. Didn't know if they would make you feel better or not.
