April Exercise Thread--Spring is here! No excuses to not get moving. :)

Long(er) run today, first week on Princess Intervals according to the Galloway plan. Skipped the very first week because 2 miles for long run is shorter than what I do for maintenance. Hoping to be able to run a local half here in October.

April 16th: 65 minute walk

Walking to do my shopping and Body Revolution Cardio. Tomorrow is my Body Revolution rest day and I soooo need it! Phase 2 tires me out so much more than Phase 1! But just another 6 workouts and I am leaving for my cruise!!

oh my goodness. I feel like I blinked and about a week of my life went by.

Updated tally: 123 minutes from the last few days.

Updating for the past few days!

62 minutes running/walking 5 miles
16 minutes cool down walk for 1 mile
240 minutes hiking 9 miles with my youngest son (total time 5 hours including rest stops)

4/21 25 minutes of T-25 Cardio

It's too bad the minutes on your feet in the kitchen don't count! This weekend I did nothing except my plank each day. This morning I did get a swim in.

QVCshopper--thanks so much for hosting May! Please let me know if you have any questions. :)

I am way behind on my minutes. Not sure if I will make my goal this month. It has been chaotic around here.

I will update the thread later today. :)

thanks for the nice thoughts on the puppy! The stomach issues ended up being girardia. UGGHHHH! Cannot catch a break. Fifty percent of puppies get it, but we have never dealt with it before. Found this out 2 hours before we were supposed to leave for a long weekend (last Thursday). The vet had put her on meds (just in case) a couple of days earlier, so luckily, the place where we have always boarded our dogs took her for the weekend. I felt horribly guilty leaving her, but she is none the worse for the wear. Picked her up this morning and she is doing well. No doggie daycare though until her test comes back negative so I will have Mommy guilt crating her while I am at work. That will just mean more long walks in the morning and evening I guess.:goodvibes

She does kind of look like a daschund (our dog who died in February was a daschund with the same coloring) but she is all leg and a little underweight right now. And every once in a while she howls like a coonhound. (It is hysterical.) :) Our coonhound years ago was 70 pounds, so hoping for something in between teeny daschund and huge coonhound. :)

Am starting to hate my Body Revolution workouts. I don't know why, but I get totally frustrated when doing them because I feel I am not good at it at all. So much looking forward to vacation!

We spent the last four days in NYC, so I'm only counting minutes fitbit identified as active. There aren't many of them. :/

Should have left my goal at 1200 like previous months, then when the month is over, I won't look so far off!!!!! Just not getting the total minutes each day like I thought I would. I think I need to build in more recovery time after the long runs...

Have a good week everyone!!!:banana::banana:

Wow, nearly at my goal! Since the weather is quite good at the moment, I do get to bike to work every day and am starting to really to enjoy it. Sometimes I get annoyed by the traffic and I hate what the helmet does to my hair. But it is also nice to be out in the fresh air and not on an underground train!
