April Exercise Challenge -27,527 minutes reported!

1010/1700 Mostly walking, but today I got my run in. I'd been neglecting it for TWO solid weeks. Can't believe I did that, but it went super well. We'll see how I feel later today and tomorrow! :rotfl2:

Just got back from a great 65 minute walk with DH & our doggie. Lots of hills!

New total:

485/600

will finish up my 1200 minutes tomorrow! Bruins and Red Sox have taken the wind out of me today!

4/18 100 minutes; 30 strength, 40 bootcamp, 30 cardio
4/19 70 minutes; 30 strength, 40 cardio
4/21 40 minutes bootcamp

I've had a strained hamstring for the last week or so and thought I could work it out...no such luck. No leg work for me now for a week; I need to be better for the Expedition Everest Challenge!

Just want to do a little happy dance here for a second;

:cool1:

Hopped on the scale this morning. Years of saying I'm doing my best (but never really trying) and saying I'm eating just fine (but definitely not) and watching the scale creep up got me to 161. :( Not ok for a tiny little 5' girl like me. Since joining your group just 12 days ago, setting higher goals for myself, more activity per day and really honestly (for once) trying to eat better I weighed in today at 156.5! Woo hoo! I'm finally seeing some positive results! -4.5lbs in 12 days.

Every time I plunk down on the Dis saying "I did 20 minutes of walking, I'm good." I see this thread and everyone is doing so well and I say "If they did 120 minutes today, the least I can do is 60!" So I get up and go again.

So thank you all for letting me join your group and for being so motivational and encouraging and supportive. It's really helping!

Way to go! :cool1: Small steps add up to big steps. Woohoo!

Cam - congrats on reaching your goal first and setting a good example for the rest of us. :woohoo: Nice job!

I'm still in the challenge but taking it slowly. I need to add 4 hours to my count - three 1 hour walks and one 1 hour bike ride. My new total is 860/1200.

I should be able to reach my goal. I am going to walk 6 -7 miles today which will probably take me close to two hours. I have a 1-2 hour bike ride coming up on Wed. and a half-marathon next weekend in Oklahoma City. Whew!

:cheer2::thumbsup2:cheer2: That's great! I know exactly what you mean; keep up the good work!

The 19th & the 20th were not planned to be rest days, but I ended up running errands with other family members. By Friday night it felt like it had been so long since I exercised and I felt so frustrated, until I realized it was actually two days. I was so happy to get out Saturday morning for a walk/run. It felt so good! And it was a beautiful day, and my favorite place to walk!

Awesome job, everyone! I LOVE seeing the minutes adding up here. You are all doing such a great job of getting out there and moving. :cool1: I hope you are enjoying the activity!

Congratulations to everyone who hit new interim goals and have seen their color changed, including those who have met their goals for the month a little early!! Vicky and Tracy, you know I'm talking to you! :woohoo:

Please be sure to check my numbers in the first post and let me know if I don't have your totals and/or color right.

I have to apologize for not updating over the weekend. It was a busy one: Friday night I hosted a Premier Designs jewelry party at my house; Saturday, I spent the morning shopping with a good friend who'd spent the night, then we visited friends and played mini golf in the gorgeous sunshine, then out to dinner and back to their house for games and dessert; yesterday we took our kids to brunch, drove 2 hours round-trip to pick up our daughter's phone that had been stolen and recovered, napped :cloud9: , batch cooked for the week, watched "Once Upon a Time" and a great Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, and then finally to bed. Whew! No wonder I am exhausted today. LOL!

As you can guess, I had no exercise minutes this weekend. I am hoping to do some minutes on the elliptical tonight before my water aerobics class. Work has been so stressful that I seem to crave the workouts even more.

Have a great day, everyone! :grouphug:

246/1020

21 - 55 min walk
22 - 40 min walk

341/1020

Got in a couple of walks with my husband and daughter this weekend and plan on a run after work today.

Back at the gym after a slack week!
40 minutes weight work
25 minutes treadmill

380/1000 so far this month!

That was my last entry - as I injured my back that night.
Well, I went to aqua aerobics on Saturday morning - 60 minutes.
I cleaned up the pool area - moving chairs, spray washing, as well as doing some stretching for my lower back. Hoping to get the pool swimmable soon! So another 60 minutes.

500/1000 so far this month!

Busy, busy...but sounds like you had some fun in there! :thumbsup2

1300/1200 so far for today. I walked for 100 minutes at the mall really fast.

Didn't do the elliptical this morning as I had a bad night's sleep. I am totally focused today. I had a 6 inch roast beef sub for lunch and am doing well with my water. I plan on doing about 50 more minutes on the elliptical later as I catch up on shows from last night.

TTFN :tigger:
