April 9th 2014 4 Wondrous nights

I feel like I should be making plans for the cruise as well but we have a long time! I have been looking into parasailing excursions for the youth in our party while we're in Key West. They might end up going on Castaway Cay. Has anyone done that?

I didn't know it was offered in Key West. Parasailing is one of Julie's favorite things to do!! We have done it at the Contemporary resort in Disney, but not at Castaway Cay.

We will be signing up for that as well :thumbsup2

Hi there! Second DCL cruise for us.. Myself,DH.. DS12 and DD7 .
Looking forward to the journey!

Does anyone else feel like this cruise is so far away??
Since this is my first one, can anyone tell me what I should be doing to get ready?

Tiffany... SO much to do, you will find things along the way to keep busy. We like to make a countdown chain as one "project".. also grab end of summer deals for cruisewear (bathing suits etc go on clearance about now).. I love to scour the Disboards for any info and fun tips pre-cruise, then there's a packing list that you will rewrite a thousand times..lol.
Also since I LOOOOVE food.. I even pick my meals ahead of time.. my choices may change by then but I have fun daydreaming over pics and menus online. :rotfl: Figure out your budget for shopping etc.. You can also start picking out excursions that may interest you, pre and post cruise accommodations, transportation to and from Port..
Enjoy the planning!

Thanks I didn't know it was spring break week I'm from Massachusetts our kids go on break April 20th but I'm so excited April 9th is my birthday and this is my first time going on vacation with my little one she was given the choice of Disney or the cruise and picked the cruise :) I don't mind an inside room I'm just concerned about reviews I read on our specific room I don't plan on being in it much haha

My kids were all given choices as well. Julie (the one on this cruise) first picked London and DLP. She loved Paris (but she is my world traveler.). Since we have been back, she wants to go to Disneyland Tokyo, but she already booked the cruise and just as with Disneyland Paris, all of the kids want to go back.

This cruise should be a lot of fun. She is a foodie, so she loves sitting in all the dining rooms trying the food. For hefr that is a fun part of the experience.

I love spending time with.my kids on vacation. Laughter and fun keep relationships fresh and lasting. At least, that's my.motto :)

An interesting way to put it, but I have the same sentiment. :rotfl: My schedule is really crazy between now and Jan 1st.

I have 2 smaller trips and 1 huge trip. 3 days after I get back is St Nicholas Day and then Christmas. :upsidedow

I keep seeing 7 months and if today was Jan, 7 months might seem forever. Fall through Christmas is so busy..why did I insist on going away for over two weeks Thanksgiving??!!

I'm joining this group! We decided to do b2b cruises rather then spending a few nights in Miami after our first cruise!!! We are doing the 5 night Caribbean before this one :cool1:

We have four kids, when we cruise they will be aged dd15, ds13, ds8 & dd5. We are from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia and this will be our 2nd and 3rd Disney cruises.

We fly in to LAX so are having 4 nights in Anaheim before flying to Miami for one night, then the two awesome cruises, then we are flying to Chicago the day we get off the cruise for 4 nights (I have family there), then we have one night in LA before flying back home.

Welcome!! We are headed to Cairns Nov 22nd - 26th :) Then Fiji for 6 days. You have an awesome trip planned!! Are you doing Disneyland while there? I'm so glad you decided to join us on this cruise as well. There are a few of us doing both cruises thus far, Sopandbass is on both as well :)
