I think it's pretty much a done deal on DCL's side once they've made cabin assignments. So, if I were you, I'd definitely call first thing in the morning! I have no idea if this cruise is sold out, but if it isn't then you have a pretty good chance of making a change.

I called and our ship is completely sold out - so we are stuck with our stateroom. My family is pretty good at making the best of things - so no biggy. We'll just work extra hard to tire ourselves out so that the kitchen noise doesn't bother us at 4 in the morning I don't think we will have any problems doing that!

Boy, for a month that supposedly "Comes in like a lion" it certainly feels like it's moving at a snail's pace! I was thinking of counting how many "work days" I have left until our cruise, but I don't want to get too depressed!

Yes! We are doing a "Fish Extender" or FE exchange. DebT is heading up the FE list. I am sure that once she sees your post...she will get with you about all of the details.

By the way...Welcome Aboard! We are all looking forward to a great spring cruise!

Wow - I'm AWOL from the boards for just one day and look at what all I missed! Today was our DD's birthday so DH and I made the 3-hour round trip drive to her town to take her out to dinner and let her open her gifts. It's been a loooong day, but a fun one!

Hi All!

Deb just sent me the link to this thread. I didn't even consider looking for one since on our last 2 cruises I posted and couldn't find anyone! Now I am even more excited!

This will be cruise #3 for DS1 and I. It will be DH's and DS2's first! Here's our itinerary to catch everyone up to speed:

We fly out of Rochester, NY on Wednesday afternoon into Melbourne (love that little airport) We are staying at the Comfort Inn in Cocoa Beach Weds. night (thanks to Hotwire). We will sail with all of you Thurs. to Sun. then we'll visit my parents in Vero Beach until Thursday, then we'll spend a couple of days at the Beach Club Villas before flying home out of Orlando.

We were originally on the 4/12--4 night cruise, but when the kids sail free offer came out, the price of changing our cruise dropped $1400!!! I couldn't justify one more night on the ship for $1400!!! We switched to the 3 night sailing on 4/9--and here we are!

I would love to do the fish extender gift swap thing. I think the kids would absolutely love it. I haven't done one and don't know exactly what to do, but would love to be brought up to speed!

I didn't have the hear to post a pic for today ...I don't even want to think about getting off of the ship!

I know what you mean! I deliberated long and hard when I was posting my 8-week countdown whether or not to post anything for Sunday. The ONLY thing that makes it even slightly bearable leaving the ship on the last morning is knowing that I have another cruise booked! I'll be booking an April '10 cruise onboard, and we're booked on a July '10 Baltic cruise! Then, all I have to do is hope and pray that DH and I keep our jobs throughout the recession so we can still afford to continue cruising!

The ONLY thing that makes it even slightly bearable leaving the ship on the last morning is knowing that I have another cruise booked! I'll be booking an April '10 cruise onboard, and we're booked on a July '10 Baltic cruise! Then, all I have to do is hope and pray that DH and I keep our jobs throughout the recession so we can still afford to continue cruising!

We are looking to book something for '10 also...we haven't quite figured out when we want to cruise next year. The kid's Spring Break has worked quite well for the past two years...I guess we will figure that out sometime soon!

Oh yeah...gotta keep the work going in order to pay for all of our Disney Fun! Vacations with Disney are a top priority in our household!

Only 4 more weeks until we are in Orlando ...we decided to stay at Coronado Springs for a couple of days prior to cruising...then move on to the Radisson for one night...then to the cruise! I can't wait!!!
