April 7, 2007 Western on the Magic?

Hey guys! I have not been able to get reservations for Palo -- probably because we booked in late February, but this evening when I checked there were dinner and brunch reservations available. I decided to take a brunch ressie so that my dinners could be spent with kids.

Just wanted to let you all know in case you've been unable to book Palo as well.

Paula - LOVE your countdown!!! Thank you~Took DS shopping again today and we both finished getting all we may need (must save some room in the suitcases for Disney shopping)!!!!

DS is so excited to go....he was telling his friend on Friday how some teens may not think a Disney cruise would be that much fun - but how it REALLY is...and how much fun he had in the clubs and how good the food was etc etc...it was just great to hear him so excited about it...he's your typical teen that doesn't verbalize a whole lot....you all know what i'm talkikng about if you have or have had a teenager!!!:rotfl:

Thanks, I had already made Palos but you made me go back and look at the excursions. DS is booked for 9:30 bottom fishing at CC, I want to add DH, if I pull up DS room it will let me book at that time, but when I pull ours it says 1 only. I will have to make a call in the morning.:)

Hi everyone,

Life has been very hectic and I am so ready to get on the Ship!

My stepdad had a double stroke 10 weeks ago and was in the hospital for eight. He is now home but needs someone there because he is a "fall" risk. Between running to the hospital and work, it's been trying, to say the least.:sad2: He is doing much better.

My DH and DD's have been terrific through all this, but family time has really suffered. We are hoping for some bonding time and just to RELAX!:grouphug:

I have two bottles of Sheridan's since there were so many people on the list. I hope that is enough.
TTFN,
Jen

I am glad that your stepdad is doing better. You all sure have been through a lot in these last 10 weeks. This cruise should give you the family time you have been missing.
Thanks for getting the Sheidans with everything else you have been faced with. Can't wait to meet you.:)

Paula - LOVE that ST!!!! Can't wait to share that with the boy:rotfl2:

I am sorry to hear about the family struggles. Hopefully the cruise will give your a little rest and relaxation.

Thanks everyone.

Just got home after picking up the girls from school and the UPS man was there to hand me our cruise docs.:cheer2:

Jen

Just got my docs too! That means it wasn't just in my imagination, I'm really going on a cruise !!! :rotfl:

Oh how exciting that everyone is getting their docs....that makes it all SOOOO real!! Can't wait for mine to arrive....hope TA gets them tomorrow like Disney told her she would...i still have to wait till Wed or Thursday before they get to me though....OMG - we are getting SOOOO close!!!!

I ran home for lunch, and checked the mailbox, nothing, :worried: I was bummed, I want docs, then, I opened the screen door, and there were 2 beautiful white padded envelopes (white padded, I want to see inside) I got inside, and examined the packages, called DH and told him :cool1: Oh yeah, docs are here, 2 packages (2 rooms) oh yeah,

He says, well, you're going to wait to open them till we are all there, right?

What??????:rotfl2: Ummm, no, I wanna open em nowwwwww!!!! LOL So he convinces me that the kids would like to open them, ( I said, nuh uh, I get to open one, they can share the other)

Now I have to wait another 2 hours before opening them. I'm going nuts, it's cruise stuff, we leave to get to florida in 9 days. I want to open them, I've been packed for a month already, lets go....

Why does time go like this :snail:Whenevery you are waiting for something.

Angie - i'm laughing SOOO hard - people in my office are probably wondering what i'm "really" reading on the internet!!!:rotfl: You sound like me needing to open the docs NOW (not 2 hrs from now).....hope you & family are joining us at the Dis Meet Sat 4/07 at 3 pm in the promenade lounge! it will be so much fun to meet everyone!!!

DS and Dnephews came today also. They were mailed here. Don't know why there was such a time difference in getting them. Just another thing to cross off of my list.:thumbsup2

I spent a little time ironing today some new pillowcases I bought to get signed on the ship. I want to give them to Dnephews (5 and 2) and Dneice
(2) this Christmas. Have any of you done this before? I was reading one of the treads awhile back on it. Seems like some bring sharpies and sometimes guest services will take the sharpies and others say no need for them. Just wondering:confused3

Yes i did that last cruise for nieces/nephews & friends' kids....they LOVED them. I got fabric markers from michaels, turned them into Guest Svcs on Sunday i think...and they "magically" appeared in our stateroom Friday - signed by every character on both sides of the pillowcases - needless to say they were a HUGE hit with all!!! I got pastel markers cause they were for girls...but if you haven't bought them yet...I'd get the primary "Disney" colors...orange, red, blue, black, yellow - if i could do it over.....

Glad everyone is getting their docs!

Angie, I was cracking up when I read your post. Is it time yet?:hourglass

Brenda, The ticket holder will be nice for your album. It's the same brown and tan as the cruise information packet. That's what I am planning on doing. Need to get some old fashioned travel stickers and I'll be set. Using the tapestry travel album (CM)from a few years back.

I tried to book Palo online and could't find any available. We will get them when we get to the port. Anyone else getting there at 10:00A.M.?

Brenda,

How many things will they sign per stateroom? I have three neices. Would they do three pillowcases and a picture frame(for us)? Great idea for presents!

Oh thanks for the heads up Jen on the ticket holder....that will definitely go in the album...Glad you have a passport to use....i think I'm going to use the CM "Mickey" album since it's a combo WDW/Cruise album....i used black for our 2004 WDW and black again for our 1st cruise...had them both embossed with the "travel" icon...they look great, but used the Mickey album on an "album for hire" and it was perfect!!!
