April 7, 2007 Western on the Magic?

Disney is sending the docs later this year...they are to arrive somewhere around 10 days prior...which is a little close...but fortunately my TA is only 20 miles away.....
yippeee....only 10 days till we are on our way!!!

I've actually been off the board for a couple of days because I'm having trouble focusing on work. I thought I'd better step away for a day or two. I feel like a kid. I can't remember when I've looked forward to a vacation like this.

I don't have my docs yet or my passport! I'm going to get a new birth certificate next week so I'll have that as a back up. Husband already had passport so he's fine.

i'm so out of it.....i had no idea what Meet the Robinson's was....haven't seen any of the previews....etc....that's what happens when you only watch TiVo....but it looks cute....will have to go watch it (with or w/out DS)
and yes i am SO looking forward to relaxing onboard....i SOOO need this vacation....as YOU ALL DO as well!!!!

Hi Brenda - I'm a fellow scrapbooker. Pretty loyal to Creative Memories too. We'll have to chat. I'm going to an all day scrapbook workshop next weekend, when I should be packing. But, it will keep my mind on something other than the cruise. I'm driving my husband nuts.

that is really awesome!!! there's a couple of scrapbookers within this group... i was just down in Carmel last weekend hosting a week-end crop which we do twice a year at a hotel there....it was great....and once a month i offer a 12-15 hour crop at my house...I'm going to take some photos of my 1st cruise scrapbook and bring them along to our DIS meet for anyone who wants to see them (can't bring the album-just too heavy to lug).....

Hi Everyone
Been away from boards for couple of days as we have a new computer which meant a major change over.
We still haven't got our travel docs. Rang TA yesterday and she said Disney had sent them. We are still waiting for our Virgin flights and we go next Monday the 2nd April. Will be off the boards after that but hope to see everyone at the meet on saturday 7th or at hyatt on the 6th.
We have my daughters 18th birthday on the 31st march. So we have a party at home next saturday. It will be very hectic organising all that and the holiday. I am getting very nervous as we have alot to co-ordinate before the cruise.
Still all part of the fun and holiday anticipation.
Only have 3 more work days before I'm off for holiday.

Looking forward to finding out about scrapbooking. See you all talking about it but don't really have any idea what it is. Not something we brits do.

oh i wish i could bring an album...but the photos will definitely give you a good idea - anyway basically scrapbooking is mounting your photos in photo safe albums - journaling the stories that go with the photos and enhancing the pages (if you like) with paper and / or stickers along with any memorabilia from the event...brochures, tickets etc.

Hope those docs arrive soon...i dont' know why Disney is waiting till the 10 days prior...that is nerve wracking!!!

Yes we stayed there for a week in 2004...it was AWESOME....we had a pool view but it was at the end so had views of the animals going back & forth....we are actually staying at Coronada Springs this trip since it's only a couple of nights...figured i'd save AKL again for a long trip, but since we only have the two days at the Parks, we're going to AKP Thursday - Boma for dinner Thursday evening - then to Magic Kingdom Thursday night; Friday we go to Epcot for the day, then MGM for evening where we have the dinner pkg for Fantasmic....with only two days - really had to plan it out!!!!

I have heard that the pool area at CS is great. Enjoy your stay.

This is really the first cruisemeet thread I had been on. Mainly just random here & there postings since Nov 05. My EB repo cruise through the Panama Canal in Aug 08 has almost consumed me. It is finally slowing down some woohoo: ) But it was taking hours just to keep up.
You are welcome to some bracelets also. They say that the passports are really backed up. I'd get another BC if I were you also.

Albums are heavy!!

DS haven't come yet. It does make it more nerve wracking. They weren't as thick. I guess since we did the online check in. Has everyone else checked in online?

Did all the online stuff - HOW NICE is that!!! So my TA called Disney & my docs are arriving Tuesday - she'll Priority mail wed & i should have Thurs or Friday (sat at the latest)
BTW - if anyone thinks of anything you may need from WDW - just post...i get them on my phone so can pick up anything anyone might need....it;s coming up fast!!!

I don't know Ellyn. We did ours about a month or so ago. It was fast and easy.

We did ours as soon as we could after trip was paid...but the website only states they need to be done prior to leaving for the port - i would be sure they were done at least 24-48 hours priorl...just in case there is any data delays in their system...can't hardly imagine, but that advance also allows you to verify that everything is there and is correct....
Guess we're not getting any upgrades either....wonder how they decide who does...who doesn't....????

I think that we got an upgrade b/c we had a 12 GRTY (with no assigned cabin). Maybe they moved us up so that they could sell more at the cheapest cat to get the ship filled. I am surprised that it was not full b/c it is a holiday week. In January we only got upgraded to an 11. I expected January to be less crowded. Maybe more people with little kids go then.

I also think that they have a lot of information on their database about us that we are unaware of. We had gone to WDW a lot the last couple of years and stayed at Wilderness Lodge. I always got upgraded to a good view and I assumed b/c they could see how much I stayed there. In January I was surprised to find a DVC magnet and present from them inside of our room. I had never filled out that I was a DVC member. They can also probably see that we were there in January and have the WB PC cruise booked. Maybe I am just being paranoid. Although, they are smart - keeps me coming back and spending lots of $$!

OHHHH - well that's cool they do that...we bought a cat 6 for this cruise as i really wanted a verandah to hang out at in the early a.m. or late nights...we were in oceanview last cruise and i was thinkikng how nice it'd be to have that verandah....
I think you're right about having the 'profiles' on all of us...and that is okay....especially if you are spending most of your vacation dollars with Disney - there should be some perks here and there for that
