April 7, 2007 Western on the Magic?

Thanks for the welcome! :yay: Boy, I feel like a real rookie, but . . . what are the green wristbands for?:confused3

Lime green is the official color of the DIS. A lime green ribbon or something is one way people can tell you DIS.

We picked up a few of the rubber bracelets in lime green last year at WDW. I was in the Dollar Store this weekend an they had the glow stick necklaces and bracelets. I picked up a couple of extras if anybody wants them.

veccfam-- my dd12 and kmclickn's daughter have been IMing for a couple of weeks. It would be great if all the girls can get to know each other. Hurry up an boost your post count so you can PM!!!!:)

Thanks for the green band info and Shirley's website. I am so glad I found these boards. Need one more post before I can PM my dds IM address. I think this is six now.:chat:

Good morning! Thought I'd post to bump us back to the front page.

Who else is having the just 2 more weeks blues? I can't seem to get much done .. I dream of laying in the hammock on Castaway Cay. I long to hear steel drum music. I find myself opening up the bottle of suntan lotion just to get a whiff of the coconut smell. Oh how much more can I stand?

I know what you mean. The weather here this weekend is supposed to be in the 80s and sunny. What a better way to get in cruise mode.

I picked up some lime green mickey paint chips at Home Depot. I thought I put and hole through them with yarn and the kids and I could wear them around our nexts. I think that will only work for the first day though. I would love a green band.

And, I keep reading about Shirley. Can she be reached by calling the 800 number in the onboard gift brochures? I have an Easter Bunny order to take care of as well. I'm almost afraid to ask what two onboard Easter Baskets are going to cost, but it seems like the best solution.

I didn't think the ones you could order from DCL were too terribly expensive. Shirley's I now you can customize to fit your children better.

Green (kinda limey) is the official color of the disboards. Alot of people will wear the color to let you know that they are. You are more than welcome to some of my extras. If I make it back up there this week I will try to grab some more.

I think i can hookyou up. I also have a few of the paint chips.

I emailed DCL last night to ask what movies they would be playing onboard, here's the list. You can check your Personal Navigator for dates and times. The following
is a current rotation of movies playing in the Buena Vista Theatre:

All entertainment is subject to change without notice. The release dates
are tentative and subject to change.

Bridge to Terabithia
Cars
Deja vu
Invincible
Meet the Robinsons
Pirates 2
Primeval
The Guardian
The Prestige
The Shaggy Dog
Santa Clause 3
Step Up
Wild Hogs

I hope this information has been helpful. If you require further
assistance in planning your visit, please feel free to contact us.

We look forward to sailing with you! Have a Magical Day!

Paula,
Thanks for the movie info. DD (Leah) was excited to hear that Meet the Robinsons will be playing. She laughs hysterically every time she sees the preview (the part where the dinosaur says, "I have a big head and little arms").

I haven't seen that one. I was hoping that Wild Hogs would be playing. I'll probably be in the movies alot for the late showings. i can't tell you when the last time I went to the movies was.

BTW. Mine and DH travel docs came a little bit ago. DS didn't, but I am thinking they went to my nephews house since he is listed 1st on that ressie.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

thank you Paula...now i know i don't need to go see Bridge to Taberithia beforehand - i haven't had a chance anyway....so i'll see it onboard~wow - to think two wks from day i'll have been at AKL & on my way to MK for the evening :-):cool1:  :cheer2:

Brenda have you stayed at AKL before. We spent a couple of hours there in Ocober before heading to the airport. It looks like it would be a great place to stay. The savannah view would be awesome. I hope to use my DVC points for a stay sometime there. :)
Wow 2 weeks from tomorrow we leave also!!

Yes we stayed there for a week in 2004...it was AWESOME....we had a pool view but it was at the end so had views of the animals going back & forth....we are actually staying at Coronada Springs this trip since it's only a couple of nights...figured i'd save AKL again for a long trip, but since we only have the two days at the Parks, we're going to AKP Thursday - Boma for dinner Thursday evening - then to Magic Kingdom Thursday night; Friday we go to Epcot for the day, then MGM for evening where we have the dinner pkg for Fantasmic....with only two days - really had to plan it out!!!!

Those are 2 busy days. You will be looking forward to relaxing on the ship, becasue you aren't gonna get any at WDW. Fantasmic is my fvorite evening show. It is a great show and nice that you can actually sit for it.:goodvibes

Good Morning Everyone! We've been purposely not going to the movies so that we could see them on the cruise. What a fun thing for the kids to be able to say, "I saw Bridge to Teribithia while I was on the cruise ship."

Counting down, can you say ---

14 days

:goodvibes
