April 30 day shred

Hope you're doing okay after the root canal, goofyfigment (sorry, I didn't look to see if real names had been posted)

Hope your back starts treating you better, lmhall!

Day 1, Level 2 behind me. I hate those plank exercises with a passion. The grunting and screaming she wanted in Level 1 is definitely happening for me with Level 2. :rotfl2:

I agree 100% I was grunting. I think the worst part of the root canal was when the Novocaine wore off. After doing day 1 of level 2 I'm SCARED about level 3 is going to be like! But on the bright side we only have 19 days left. I have ripped in 30 ready to go for may!

So proud of you doing the day 11 on root canal! I guess that means that in 5 more days I'll be able to handle level 2! I managed to do ALL the video with only modifying the jumping jacks...that is the only thing I can not do, puts too much strain on my knees...I do the arms but swing out one leg at a time and hop on the opposite so that my knee does not get that angular pressure on the jump down, I have to keep my knees straight above my calves or the torque on it really causes pain.

Those last bicycle kicks were killer but I stuck it out to the last one...I then did a mile on the treadmill to keep my back warmed up...feels soooo much better this morning, if ANYONE has back pain through this, there is a back brace by Mueller (on Amazon) that is awesome!! It enabled me to make it through.

Just a heads up level 2 is a lot of leg work
Day 2 level 2 complete

Day 2, Level 2 done here. I think I am way slower than they are on the plank exercises and I still have to take a 5-second break during the plank twists. I didn't scream today, though...progress!!!! :rotfl2:

I had to take a break too.

Finished Day 2 Level 2. I had to really convince myself to do it today, I was dreading it!! I think the hardest part for me is the part where you're in a plank and you jump your legs in them kick them out. Can't remember what they are called. But WOW! I probably do one for every two they do! But at least I did them!

I'm so proud of you Dis'ers!!
:mickeyjum

I did day two of level two today as well.

It is SO good. Hard, but good!!

I'm glad I moved to the next level. I hope to see some more results from this faster. :thumbsup2

Me too. I mean, I try to push myself but realize that we have 10 days to progress. So it's my goal to improve by the end.

Me too. I had knee surgery on both my knees the left in 05 and the right in 07 so I try not to hurt them too much lol

This must be hard for you then! My knees have been sore the last few days and I don't have any knee problems.

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Yay for all those on Level 2! I just finished level 1 day 7. Keep it up everyone :cool1:

Day 3 of level 2 complete.

I had to take a couple rests I could hear my knees cracking and didn't want to chance it.

Finished day 3 and 4 of level 2. It is still SO HARD. My husband did say I wasn't as red and looking as ready to pass out as usual though, so that's good I guess! :rotfl2:

Day 4 complete! Honestly can say I am sweating more with level 2 than I did with level 1. Getting scared to see level 3

Me, too! We can start level 2 together but the knee thing has me scared...lots of modifications likely for me! I had seizures 25 years ago and ruined the cartilage in my knees...have to be so careful!

That's what I have been doing, I already had knee surgery in both knees and I'm only 35 so I'm trying to be careful so I Dont injury them.

Oh no! Use the modifications & I'm sure you'll be fine. Just don't push it! I just said to DH this evening that my right knee is bothering me & I've never had knee problems. Ever. And, I run from spring through fall & do spinning in winter. I'm hoping it feels better with some yoga & stretching. I completed level 1 day 8 this morning. I have no idea what to do Tuesday. My day is pretty packed from 6 am until 8 pm :( I dislike working out at 8:30 pm, but I will probably have to.

Are you sure you are not living my life??? :) Tuesdays are the worst days!! I am usually waking up at 5am to finish grading research papers, then off at 8:30...back home for 45 minutes to walk the dogs...then back out to take girls to dance and my son to rowing, we get home around 8:30 on Tuesday nights..my plan is to get as much grading done today as possible and do my 30DS at 5am...then fill in my 2 miles on treadmill at 9pm...I do find that doing something 12 or so hours apart keeps my metabolism happy!

I have a camping trip this weekend! I am taking my Ipad and completing 30DS in the tent!! :) Or outside if it's not too cold in the am! People will laugh at me, but I refuse to miss one day!! :) I think I started the same day as you, need to go back and see when I posted I completed day 1 :)
