hi everyone! hope all is well! really looking forward to my first cruise! currently, i am trying to lose 26lbs by the time the cruise is here

So frustrated!

Although it says that we cruise 90 days from today, online check in doesn't start until tomorrow!

Ugh, I guess it's a second late night in a row for me. Maybe I'll just wait until the morning and get up early and check in before work tomorrow morning.

Okay - so now I'm all checked in!

And I was able to book both Palo dinner for pirate night (two times available 6pm and 7pm - I chose 7pm) and Palo Brunch (two times available 10:30am and 11:30am - I chose 10:30am).

My parents are very iffy about going to Palo - I think mostly because of the extra cost. When I think about it, going for both dinner and brunch increases the cost of the cruise by $120 (no small potatoes).

I think I'll wait to see how the first few "regular" dinners go on board - if things are a little lackluster, then we'll do Palo. If they're great, then maybe I will cancel one or both reservations.

The good thing is I don't have to choose today

Nights 3 and 4 will be in the same restaurant (night 3 will be Pirate night and night 4 will be the restaurants regular menu).

You won't know your actual rotation though (which restaurants on which nights) until you board.

I can't access Facebook at work but on evenings and week-ends I certainly check it. It's also nice to put faces to the names because then it's easier to recognize people on the ship.

What a great surprise for your kids! If I could have swung it this time, I'd have loved to do a 5/4 B2B - 9 days is really my ideal amount of time to spend cruising. I'm sure you guys will have a blast!

Well honestly we couldn't have afforded it. We paid for the initial trip this year knowing we could handle that with our taxes. We just got our return today and it's the most we have ever gotten back despite the IRS saying we owed them like $800. So my hubby is at the TA right now booking the second part. Every year we take our return and do a big trip with the kids as it may only be the one we get all year, if any vacation at all. I will blow my entire return if it means giving my kids a good time. I however am getting new car tires for the drive down and a new steam cleaner, since my brilliant hubby put lots of laundry soap in it bc we ran out of solution and messed it all up. Initially I wanted to do a 7 day trip and hubby said no bc we did a 3 last time and he wasn't sure the kids would be happy for that long. But, now that our return is a lot more than we planned on we are def taking it to our advantage. Trip is booked now and payment being processed as we speak! Whoo hoo I can't wait!!!
