Well I opened the box.:rotfl2: I am still learning, I want to try some more of the features. The dials are a little confusing but I think the 15 scrapbooks I have done without the circut are sad.:rotfl2: Any tips ? How do I keep the mat sticky ? Thanks ! Here are some things I did while learning.

Does anyone know if it is true that DCL is not offering any repositioning cruises when the Magic goes from PC to NY and then to Texas.

What is this Circut you speak of? I am thinking a scrapbooking tool, but what exactly is it? I don't do any scrapbooking as of yet, but, I have a feeling once my boys are older and less needy, I may find me a hobby in it.. Mostly because I have TONS of pics that need to be worked with! From the pic you posted it looks pretty artsy craftsy.

I think Elaine & Linda are the experts. It is a small wonderful machine that will do amazing things when you push some buttons. That is my simple non-technical way I can explain it. :rotfl2: You can buy all sorts of different cartridges that can do all different things !! My DH gave this to me as a gift like 3 years ago ( I really wanted one ) and I just pulled it out of the box. I felt overwelmed with it, just looking it. :rotfl2: It can be a expensive hobby and very addicting but so much fun ! I believe he bought it at Michaels.

Booked a two night pre cruise stay on the Queen Mary. Question to all the Disneyland vets.. When do you think the Disney hotels will open up for booking in may ? ..,,

The sticky mats are replaceable and are for sale, I believe they come in two packs, but maybe only one. I am just about to the point I need to replace mine. I have only done a few things on mine but am starting to do some Disney for my Alaska album. I scrapbook almost daily:)

My understanding is that you are correct. I didn't attend the castaway event on the Alaska cruise (only on the LA repo), but I heard that an announcement was made at that event that they are NOT selling cabins on the repos to NYC or Galveston.

It is very addicting and can be expensive, but so much fun. I switched a number of years ago to all digital scrapbooking - which is great for me, but I still have a large supply of traditional supplies that I can't part with, I just love them so much , even though I'm not using them. Crazy I know! Switching to digital is the only way I've been able to keep up on the photobooks. Traditional always took me SO long to do. I also started using MyPublisher.com as a quick way to do a book that is beautiful and looks great but takes minimal time.

I have pictures from our 2009 WDW, 2010 DCL Cruise/WDW-Universial trip that i have done NOTHING with!.. Now we are about to head to WDW in Oct, and then this cruise in April, and I will have to admit the pics will probably remain on my camera mempory card for another year or to! I have 2 young boys, so finding time to sit and be creative is very limited!

Yes, there are gaps in the itinerary where those repositioning cruises would fit in. It's a real shame. I would have been all over a New York Galveston Repo.

Yes it is very true. Due to legal reasons they can't offer this cruise. I think it will be good for the crew. Maybe they will get some extra time off to party and let loose a little.

I didn't start scrapping until later in life and I am about 40 years behind. I have over a dozen DL & WDW trips to scrap, am half done with two Disney cruises, have finished at least 2 non-Disney cruises and have at least 8 other cruises to get done :rolleyes1 Not to mention day to day events. I have completed many scrapbooks, but the undone list is huge. I am love handling the paper and embellishments ect. so digital does not work for me. My biggest problem is i take TOO many pictures. Over 1000 on the Inaugural Alaska cruise. If I took less I could scrap faster:)

Hi Sharon

Last year I was able to book our DL stay in August so I'm keeping my fingers crossed....I will post here when I see a date mentioned on the DL thread on the Dis. (I'll also send you a message on Facebook).

Excellent description...especially the expensive hobby & very addicting part!!!!!!

That's my problem too.....I think my final count for the LA-Vancouver Repo, Vancouver, and Inaugural Alaska came in at 5,500...and then I also got CD's of pics from my friends as well....it has taken me quite some time to try to chose the pictures I want to scrapbook....I think right now I have selected 2,500....I can just imagine how big my scrapbook will be. My local photo shop loves me....they say they feel like they have travelled on the Disney ships, and visited WDW and DL through my pictures...they told me that they can't wait to "visit" Alaska!!!!....They even call me to let me know when they have their photo print cards on sale!!!!!

I totally understand, lack of time is the main reason I started using MyPublisher and switched to digital. It was easier to find bits of time to work without having supplies all over the place that needed cleaning up so little fingers didn't get into it. With MyPublisher it wasn't fully scrapped as fun/creative as I would have liked, but it allowed me to have a nice hard copy book very quickly by just selecting the pictures I wanted to use and letting it do a lot of the work, press send and in about 10 days it would arrive. Its so nice to have the book the kids and I can go through - we pull them out all the time and enjoy them. I did an adorable ABC pocketbook size when they were little using family pictures which was only about 10 bucks, and they played with it all the time - now they even have minibooks starting at 2.50. So for me it's been a viable alternative, and I'm hopeful that when the kids are all grown and I have more time, I can go back and really scrap the pictures to my hearts content.

Thank you, I have a feeling I will be going through alot of them.;)

On the bright side.........you will always have something to scrap.:)

Yes you did.:rotfl2: It was like putting candy on a self and telling the kid not to touch it.:rotfl2:

Well that's why I get my scrapbooks done..........you guys are taking so many pictures !!! I think I end up with a couple hundred for cruise but don't use all of them.

Digital does sound so much easier. I have never attempted it, if I did I have ALOT of stuff to get rid of first.
