Hi,
DH (wkrider) and I are going to be joining you! We booked the first day but weren't sure we'd be able to go. We can commit now and are SO excited about this cruise. We love the idea of so many sea days. Can't wait to relax at sea! Now I've gotta add us to the sign-up spreadsheet. :)

Hi and welcome. We love the 15 night cruises, such a lot of relaxation time!!!!!!! Anything less is so short now.:rotfl2:

I know what you mean about long cruises. After going on them the 3-5 day cruises are not as appealing. Maybe we can next talk Disney into going to Australia- now that would be a long cruise.

We got a letter from DCL a couple of days ago advising us of the change of port on our Mexican Riviera cruise. Graham looked at it this morning and commented that there mus be a mistake as the itinerary is too short. Doing a 7 night cruise will be a shock to the system after 3 long cruises.

Is that for this year? I'm wondering if they've made a decision on Guaymas, a rumored port for 1212.

Thats what I'm afraid now......we took 7 day in May and I'm scared that after this 15 day to Hawaii anything shorter that two weeks will not be good enough LOL

Well we can do B2B 7 night cruises and that will be almost as good!!! We did that a couple of years ago and enjoyed it.

Thanks everyone. We've been hoping to go on a WBTA for a couple years now for all the sea days. But now this one is even better... more sea days, no international flight, we don't even have to go to the airport... we can drive from AZ and park the car! We don't have to worry about luggage weight. And we get to go to Hawaii! We can't wait! :)

We are doing the WBTA this year again and I am doing this cruise. I like the idea of not having to worry about luggage weight as well!!

I wish I had your dedication to get my scrapbook done before I went on my next cruise...I am so far behind...I still have to scrap the following:

Panama Canal May 2005 (up to day 8 of 14 days)
11 Night Southern Caribbean Cruise September 2006
NYE cruise 2006/2007
5 Night Double Dip September 2008
7 Night Caribbean Cruise March 2009
Maiden Voyage Disney Dream - Janaury 2011
and my most current cruises
6 night LA to Vancouver April 2011
7 Night Alaskan cruise May 2011

and that's just the cruises...I also have lots of WDW trips and 2 DL trips to scrap....

You are not done with Panama yet?:scared1:
Hang in there Kid. You'll get them done one day. :goodvibes
Maybe you could find a recent retiree to help.:rolleyes1

Thanks. Buttercup is busy on the other computer signing up for all the fun stuff, lanyards, Palo Meet and so forth...really looking forward to this cruise.

Welcome to you both! We are all going to have a LOT of fun! :dance3::dance3:

I can only do this if the cruise is sailing from California and you can imagine what I do on the WBTA!! Last year took 3 bags each and shipped one to hotel!!

(In fact, Jason and I would love to one day visit ALL the Disney parks worldwide----but in order to save the $$ to do that we'd need to stop taking all these darn cruises!! :lmao::lmao:)

Having been to all the Disney Parks, I am waiting for Disneyland Shanghai to open. My husband has never been to that part of China, and so I'd like to follow it up with a trip to Beijing. He needs to walk on the Great Wall, too. LOL! And maybe we'll do a side trip to Tokyo, so he can experience those parks, as well.

The castle in Paris is my fave of all the castles. I've been there for two vacations and had wonderful experiences both times.

(Sorry to be behind with responding, but we finally got our computer back this afternoon — after a week in the shop.:yay:)

Hi all. I guess I am lucky. I have been to Club 33 before. What a great, but not cheap experience. The really lucky part is it looks like I will be going again in Aug. Just waiting on the Confermation.

Oooooh, fun!:banana::banana: Congrats on getting to go again. I've been lucky enough to get to go three times in one year — twice for dinner. Doug & I went with GoofPrincess for lunch once, too. I hope everyone who wants to go there gets a chance.

And, if you can't get into Club 3, try Napa Rose at the Grand Californian. Doug & I had dinner there last Monday night — I did the Vintner's Dinner and it was one of the best meals ever!:worship: This is where we celebrate every Valentine's Day, too.

I'm finally caught up with all the posts — it's amazing how reliant you get on your computer and how everything seems to fall apart when it "goes down.":rotfl2:

We spent the early part of last week at Disneyland. Thanks, Alan, for posting the Little Mermaid pix. We rode it three different days — and now don't have to do it for awhile. We also spent part of Sunday afternoon with Alan — he was gracious and allowed Doug to go on the Star Tours ride with him, using the voucher he'd won on the Annual Passholder contest. Doug got to ride more times as I also had a winning voucher to use on Tuesday — he had seven rides total. I wound up with motion sickness from the first time I'd been on it, so I just waited for everyone to ride. We were joined by A Little Pixie Dust — from the PC cruise — for the ride and dinner afterward. A fun time was had by all.

We're back! We had a fabulous time in Alaska! Beautiful weather - no jacket needed in the ports. Only problem was the heavy blanket of fog at Hubbard Glacier - we couldn't see a thing. We saw lots of wildlife - in Sitka we did the Sea Otter and Wildlife Quest, which has a policy that if you don't see a Sea Otter, Whale, or a Bear they give you a partial refund. We were joking that they were going to make us pay more since we saw all 3. :lmao:, as well as lots and lots of bald eagles, and sea lions. In Juneau we saw both Humpbacks and Orca's. There were babies (sea otters and whale) so cute!!!!

Anyway, I'm very happy to be home sleeping in my own bed and able to catch up on our dis thread! My exciting news was I checked my DCL reservation and I have a stateroom! Yippee! I have no idea when it was assigned from the GTY, since I haven't checked for weeks - but Woo Hoo! So, I'll be updating the lists soon, yeah! BTW - Erik and Jason I also sent the lanyard email for us, (finally - ;) )

My husband, daughter, & I are looking at hopefully joining everyone on this cruise. We want to book a cat 5, 6, or 7. I know that availability periodically pops up. I'm wondering what anyone has paid for any of these categories. I know that prices will be quite different now than when it first opened. I'm mainly trying to estimate the price differences between those particular categories. If any of you booked these categories & would be willing to share what you paid, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks, Stephanie

We've got 2 Cat 6A GTYs booked (each with 2 adults and 1 child) for $8943.33 each (no OBC applied).

Last time there was one available, the price had gone up a few hundred $$.

HTH.

In other news, DD1 got her mid-year exam results back and has done really well, despite the lack of study. Makes me less worried about the prospect of taking her out so close to exam time next year....

Not much new in these parts - countdown to mid-year break. Can't wait ! (LOVE school holidays :lovestruc )

Hope all you intrepid travellers are doing well.

Cheers,
Sally :)
