Hey Padalyn!! We cruised together for the most recent MR cruise. I am the Duffy owner. I am glad to see that we will be together again for the Hawaii. Does your bear have a name yet?

Welcome on board. There is a link to the Roll Call on the first page and you can add yourself to the Roll Call itself and to other activities like Fish Extender, Secret Mickey, Scavenger Hunt, Champagne Girls, etc.

I was just told by my non-DISer friend, that she has a friend that wants to join this crazy crew.....so.....

Does anyone still need a roommate??? Please let me know! THANKS!

I was wondering where you were, Cayla! :goodvibes

I added you to the lanyard list (since I know you'll want a lanyard)-----are you in your room alone? Or are you with Michael again on this trip? If so (or even if you talk to him) and he wants a lanyard, make sure that he sends a note to me at the lanyard email at dcl.hawaii.lanyards@gmail.com

OK.. So, I have to get this question started. I have signed up on the roll call spread sheet, but, is this just a list of the people on this thread, or does the roll call serve a different purpose? Also, I noticed that there are many different tabs, I know what the FE is, but, how does the secret Mickey, Scavengar Hunt, Champagne Girls, and candy swap work? Also, is there going to be a sign up sheet added to this spread sheet for the lanyards? This is me showing my newbi'ness..:rotfl:

If you're on the roll call....you'll get a lanyard. The secret Mickey is like secret santa. Others that have played can give you more details. There are some that do a Scavengar Hunt with clues to find things and most kids love doing it. The Champagne Girls is a pink wearing, girly girl gathering where the ladies taste different champagnes. More details about this to follow soon. I think the candy swap is people bringing candy from their home places and swapping it with others on a list. Other people that participate may want to elaborate, but that's the jist of it. I hope that helps!

Thanks for all the "Welcome Aboards"! I'm very much looking forward to meeting you all...the DCL experts! :worship: I just sent in my lanyard info (BIG Thank Yous go out to Erik and Jason) and signed up for the champagne girls (now THIS sounds like it's right up my alley! :woohoo:). What do I need to do for that? I saw someone mention tiaras and boas? Not my best look, but I'm good with that!:thumbsup2

No need to do anything right now. I'm co-hosting this event with UKangel. This will be my fourth time doing it and our first together. We have decided to use leis and flowers in our hair instead of boas and tiaras for this one. Naturally, they will both be pink. Specific details all about this event to follow soon. I just got off the LA/Alaska and I'm still catching up. I'm on page 130 now.

Deb and Mandy will organize this a bit later on. Rumor has it they love the lei and flower behind the ear idea as the perfect "Hawaiianizing" of the traditional Champagne Girl garb! :thumbsup2

.

As long as they are pink.....we are good with that. But don't worry, they will be provided for everyone attending. We all have to look good for our picture together.

Thanks Jackie for explaining.

Actually I want to just make one quick clarification-----the roll call on the main spreadsheet is NOT the same as the lanyard list (there are folks on there who I know do not want lanyards). There is a separate sign up for the lanyards....and that information is being collected and stored on a different spreadsheet altogether.

Anyone who wants a lanyard needs to send their information (DIS name(s), First name(s), and stateroom #) to me by email. The email address is dcl.hawaii.lanyards@gmail.com

I will be collecting information at that email address probably up through late February and adding it to my own separate lanyard spreadsheet (which you can view HERE----but you cannot edit it, only view---if you have changes or corrections, you need to email them to me).

...and just a lanyard update....we're up to 138 lanyards now! I'm fully anticipating we'll need over 300 when the time comes, though----so keep those requests for lanyards coming!!

I also have Club 33 on my bucket list but I don't think it will happen when we go there after the cruise- unless someone sprinkles some Pixie Dust.

I got a copy of Oriental Trader today and there are some Hibiscus Flower hair clip ons. They are on sale for $2.99 a Dozen. I remember someone saying that for the Champagne Girls it might be flowers and boas. I think Mandy and Deb are in charge of the CG. This might be something for them to look into. The catalogue #BU-34/1526.

Thanks. I just checked these out. They're beautiful but they won't work for us. They come in a rainbow of tropical colors per dozen. I need ALL pink. I'll keep looking. Thanks for helping.

Thanks to everyone who has already sent in their lanyard information. So far I have 89 people on the lanyard list----but I am certain that will grow over time (on the WBTA last year we did just under 300!!).

Now that I've started to go through the emails people are sending to register for lanyards, I have gotten my spreadsheet up and running. If you would like to take a look at the current list, click HERE
Note: This is a google spreadsheet that you will be able to open from the web without signing in or anything---you will NOT be able to make changes, additions, or edits to the sheet (sorry---I'm a control freak! :lmao:) but if you see that you are missing or there is an error or a change, just shoot me an email to the lanyard email address and I'll get it all squared away!

Reminder----the lanyard email address is dcl.hawaii.lanyards@gmail.com ....so keep that information coming!

WOW, I'm impressed.....you are good Erik (& Jason)......I just sent you my email since I'm still catching up and then I checked your link and we're already added. It's like.....how did you do that so fast??!!!! I got your PM response too about being part of the Lanyard Team. I will be happy to be an alternative....just in case one is needed. Thanks so much for taking this on.

I'll mosey over to facebook and alert Deb to this! Thanks.

Laundry: I do some on the ship, mostly because I want to pack light, so for the longer cruises I may do a load or two. I do use DCL's pressing service though....no ironing in those tiny laundry rooms for me!

.

Thanks Jackie. I can always count on you to pass along pertinent information that I will need to know. You're the best!!!

Sorry about that Erik.....glad you cleared that up for us. Thanks.

Apparently this cruise and my Apr 2012 MR cruise is just too far away for my liking because I just booked another MR cruise Thanksgiving week this year and was able to take advantage of the Kids Sail Free Offer. Disney moving the Wonder out here on the west coast has not been kind to my wallet! Anything for the kids, right?? :thumbsup2

Sorry about that Erik.....glad you cleared that up for us. Thanks.

No problem....I'm actually glad to have had an opportunity to make sure it's clear how it's working. I know there are lots of lists and rosters out there.....and I don't want anyone to accidentally miss out on lanyards because they didn't understand what was going on.

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Chilly here - Frost warnings flying. Come on Hawaii!

I also have Club 33 on my bucket list but I don't think it will happen when we go there after the cruise- unless someone sprinkles some Pixie Dust.

Mine too, Charlotte! But I think it will take more than a sprinkling of dust to get us there:sad2:

That's an easy decision....before AND after!!!!!!

I think we're going to stop in Vegas before and then fly down the hill. DL after, and then fly home.

Happy day, all!
